The Reef at Atlantis

Second time back to Atlantis and brought the whole family this time. Would definitely recommend The Reef for families.

Great stay for our family.

My family of 4 loved this property, easy access to the beach and walkable opportunities (there's also a free shuttle) to walk between hotels with incredible aquariums built in throughout. Always something to do! However, I did not like that the go-to-food around the swimming pools closed at 5pm as my kids had to wait until much later to eat when we went to the marina to find a restaurant. Otherwise we loved everything about Paradise Island!

Highly recommended, very convenient for families with children.

We had a fun family vacation. I would suggest to provide at least 1 complimentary water bottle.

The Reef was nice. I’m glad we stayed here away from the insanity of the Royal. Accommodation was nice but the sleeper couch was absolutely awful. I did not sell well at all. Dining options are scarce unless you absolutely love Starbucks every single day. The Poseidon buffet was very good and actually worth the money. But the value stopped there. I’ve never felt so milked for money at every turn before. We the hell does everything have to be quite so expensive? $30.99 for a spray can of sunscreen in the hotel lobby shop - are you kidding? $10 for a water with VAT and gratuity added on top automatically!! I know these places take a lot of money to run. I get that. But I won’t be returning simply because it feels like I’m being used as a cash machine. There are better places to go without the blatant daylight robbery. Nice place to visit once as long as you budget accordingly. But definitely not worth a return visit.

This was my first time at Atlantis. We have two children under 11. We lived the pool right beside the Reef as well as the beach area right there. It was honestly the best beach area of all of the hotels. We didn’t love how far it was from restaurants, the only option in our hotel was Starbucks (with a very long line) The shuttle services were great and ran frequently. Our favorite place was the Marina! We loved Murray’s and Marina Pizza. Also highly recommend AquaShores for an excursion to swim with the pigs!

Our second time coming to Atlantis and this time we brought our kids. We stayed at the reef this time and the rooms are nicer than the royal just wished the reef had a restaurant in the building. Thankful they have shuttles to and from the royal to eat and if you decide to walk it’s about a 10 minute walk which we preferred to enjoy the property. The property is clean, and so much to do for the whole family

Overall this is a nice resort with many things for the entire family to enjoy. You have a beach, multiple pools, water park, casino, night club for teens and adults. The free shuttle is also a nice perk. It's a bit older so the rooms could use some updates but other than that, the rooms are fine. The resturants are on the expensive side so just budget for that before you go. I think the resort is a bit overpriced for you get but it was nice to experience it at least once.

The reef was perfect for our family! Some of the best beaches on the Atlantis property.
