Owen upon arrival allowed me entry into my room before 12pm which I appreciate as I had been travelling for nearly 10 hours. Later I came down and Owen again helped me secure a room again for my family a few days later before we return home. Although this is not a new hotel it is well maintained by the staff. The beds were comfortable and that’s always important. Room was spacious and clean and everything worked.

Disappointing because we booked the hotel for my little kids as described with "city view" to catch fireworks and lights display while in the hotel but then was given a room with the Pan Pacific window site, staff in the am of Australia Day following a change of room was rude and inconsiderate, and told that that was the "city view" for a double room , and if I need a better view I should pay more for suite rooms. He didnt even see if other options can be made possible

The hotel was fantastic in general, the bath especially and the baby grand piano kept an 11 year old in awe. However the car got towed as parked in the Main Street (even read the sign twice). The room was catered for 2 people instead of 3 people. The 11am checkout was great and the luggage storage while collecting the car was a life saver. Tip: pay the $30 parking 😉

When booking and on confirmation there was no mention of a bond, so upon check-in we were surprised we needed to pay a $50 bond for each night on a credit card. Room was nice and clean, though lacked information about the hotel, no room service menu. Room service was poor - as a 4-star hotel we had to ask to have our room serviced, they didn't supply us with enough towels (even though it was requested), and didn't restock the tea and coffee. Front desk staff were nice, but lacked knowledge. We had to ask several times for something in the room. On check out, the same guy who checked us in was going to charge us again for parking (even though he did this payment at check in). Also kids eat free at breakfast and this too was still on our account. However, the service at breakfast was outstanding. Breakfast delicious and coffee perfect. Overall, the room was nice but the service could be a lot better for a 4 star hotel.
