Our stay I was enjoyable for the whole family. The hotel facilities are great and the nearness to shopping facilities and choices of restaurants and a not too long walk to the beach makes it an ideal place to stay.

The wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. It was our first trip together without the kids in a really long time. I made a nice little investment in the casino that I enjoyed but the wife didn’t.

We loved our stay at the star grand. We all enjoyed the pool. Didnt get to experience the pool on the upper level as kids enjoyed the larger pool with music etc. The whole hotel had a beautiful scent through it and was very clean. Breakfast at the harvest was extremely average but its a buffet so its what you'd expect. Kids absolutely loved the chocolate fountain and ice cream for breakfast. So much going on as its almost new years, we loved the hype. Staff were attentive and lovely (with broad shoulders, having to deal with high maintenance people and their silly unwarranted "complaints" staff deserve a medal for having to deal with people like this they handled it so professionally) thanks for making our stay so enjoyable. We would love to come back and stay again next time we are back in the gold coast.

I'll start with the positives first: very comfy bed, great location and lots of eating options. We stayed for 3 nights - our room wasn't cleaned the first 2 days despite putting the green light on and calling room service twice. Asked for face towels but didn't get any. Ordered room service but had to pay $6 delivery fee. Are you kidding me? Room was nice but a bit dated (no smart TV options, you can only use Airplay so no Netflix for you) and the bathroom's okay but could've been cleaner. We went to the MG cafe for breakfast on our 3rd day, ordered and paid, waited for 45 mins only to be told that the kitchen had closed. No one told us until we asked the manager. To his credit, he gave us free poke bowls. All in all, an average stay especially for the price.

Property is tired, great pillows. Have to request to have the room cleaned. Not family friendly as children can’t walk through to the food court. I mentioned this and was told. “It is a casino”. Maybe not for much longer!

It was a great place to stay for a mini getaway. Plenty of dining options for couples and families. The facilities were quite nice as well. 10/10

Accommodation excellent, reception staff excellent. Missing from my experience many years ago is a decent cafe. I am a Keno player and although I like other games I tend to enjoy sitting back and relaxing playing Keno. The fact that this is no longer possible at the Star is a deal breaker for me. I was so excited to introduce my children to the Star as I had a history of visiting and enjoying the shows, I joined us all up as I have recently moved up north and could see myself making regular visits. I will not return due to the fact that there wasn't anywhere for Hotel Guests to spend down time, no lounge area the bar in the Atrium is closed and I couldn't play Keno seriously as I like to play Advanced bets but this takes time and planning. Although we enjoyed our weekend I will have to find a more comfortable venue.

Very limited options for breakfast dining. Very noisy, hardly sleot. Screaming baby in a neighbouring room.
