Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach

For a 5 star hotel facilities are definitely not matching. It's got a feel of a 2-3 star hotel or a motel. Outdated bathrooms (like 1980s feel), cheap looking furniture on the balcony and inside the room. Carpets have funny feel to them (you can hear almost like you are walking on a polystirene or plastic of some sort). We haven't got our room serviced properly even once even though we asked for it specifically on the third day. We still had dirty wine glasses sitting out. What I was really annoyed about is that I had to pay for the wifi. This is just insane. I paid 25$ per day to use wifi on top of my roaming. It should be free which it is in most of the hotels I stayed in. Inside the parking garage there was some nasty leakage all around our car so we had to step into that pool of leakage to get in the car. Staff on the other hand were very friendly to us and extra accommodating to our child. Location is good but it gets quite loud on Saturdays so if you are traveling as a family take that to consideration or use a sound machine.

Amazing as usual beautiful hotel and a great location We had a very nice family holiday there

It was a good stay but the spare was not working as the kids love the bathrooms in the rooms need a makeover
