Pullman Cairns International

The staff were brilliant at the Pullman Cairns International. We had a wonderful time here for the school holidays. Fun activities for my son and for me. Highlights were the swimming pool for my kiddo; cocktail masterclass for the parents held by the engaging, humours and entertaining Manny (Manny - you are brilliant); and the wild animal encounter where we all got to hold critters we wouldn't normally interact with. It was all the additional extras that made our stay so fantastic. Thank you!

Breakfast should have a variety of options. Cheesea need to be sliced. Perhaps have halal optoon noting we saw many muslim families stay at the pullman

Well located and a very good stay for my family. Breakfast was fantastic and well worth it. The room was clean and if you are on the top floor, you will have a nice view. Very nice restaurants nearby that you can walk to. Upon checking in I requested a higher-level room, and the first receptionist (Faz) declined my request and politely said there were no similar rooms available in the hotel and gave us a room at level 3. About 20 minutes later I asked the same from another gentleman at the desk who quickly and nicely changed our room to a similar room on level 10.

Staff were absolutely amazing, perfect place for a family with great sized rooms and the pool, poolside service was fantastic and all the food and cocktails were to die for. Perfect Location in the City. We will be staying at The Pullman International every time we visit Cairns.

I often stay at this hotel with my children for the convenient location, great facilities and helpful staff. My last visit for 10 days over January school holidays was disappointing - the pool bar remained closed the entire stay which meant having to order drinks and food via a QR code. Orders for water, ice and drinks took as long as 45 mins to arrive. There was an empty water dispenser at the pool area which after requesting for it to be refilled multiple times, over multiple days it remained empty. During breakfast there should have been someone manning an egg station, which was also empty for the duration. Requests for certain cereal or condiments were either forgotten or took 30 mins to arrive, at which point we had finished breakfast. On my last morning, I had requested assistance with my baggage to bring to reception. I had 3 suitcases and was travelling with 2 young children on my own. I didn’t think it an unreasonable request. No one showed up to assist in 30 mins so it took multiple trips to reception.

Our room was really beautiful and new but there were a few other factors that we were disappointed in. The pool area was run down there were so many missing/ chipped tiles not ideal with children. The buffet breakfast was not good the food seem as though it had been sitting around (we arrived on opening) there was no barista coffee included in the $39 buffet fee.

Pool was great for kids. Refurbished room was lovely. Easy to walk any where in town.

Upon checking in late at the property, we were treated like gold. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The hotel is in a great area, walkable and safe. The room had a great view and the pool area was fun. It is an old hotel with the charm of a time gone by. Overall an amazing property and I would totally recommend it to families. Thank you and see you on our next trip!

We came with a family with 2 children. it was very nice hotel and very helpful and friendly staff. it is close to everything. it was raining season so should carry umbrella with you. You can borrow from hotel but no guarantee that you may have. I think they should have umbrella for each room. Thanks

Friendly staff on arrival and always helpful. Very accommodating with a toddler and enjoyed our stay
