Crystalbrook Bailey

Overall we loved this hotel. The location was perfect located just off the esplanade and near many restaurants and other central sites. I liked that it featured art everywhere … it gave it a good vibe. Staff were super helpful and the 2 pools and sauna were used several times by the family. Our room with 2 double beds (4 of us) was a little tight but expected. The bathroom was huge though and a real luxury. My only negative was there was a damp smell in our room due to the hotel having been closed and because it’s humid in Cairns. I was ok with it but my wife needed to change rooms to one that was better ( but still damp smelling). I think it was a good value and I would consider staying here again, especially because of location.

The hotel is located in an excellent area with every major attraction within walking distance. So a great place for travellers with little kids. It's a 30 second walk to the promenade, 1 min walk to aquarium and cairns night markets, 10 min walk to the jetty where the Green island trips leave from. Lots of dining options near by. Heaps of car rental places behind the hotel and coin laundromat nearby. The hotel did not have in-room service which was the only drawback. The swimming pool for guests is tiny and the gym is pretty basic and small as well. Overall however these were minor points.
