Ramada Encore by Wyndham Belconnen Canberra

Great place to stay if you need to be in the Belconnen area. The apartment was great for 2 adults and 2 adult children. Both bedrooms had ensuites which was handy.

This was our second stay. It's clean and quiet and convenient for us when visiting family.

Firstly, false advertising. A 40 inch tv was listed but a 32 inch was supplied. We chose this place to watch some Easter weekend NRL games on tv during our break. Staff mostly didn’t seem to be happy to be at work or maybe not happy to see customers. And then place is full of cobwebs esp upper level balconies. Bathroom wasn’t very clean and actually pile of dirt was left on the side in the bathroom. Then the building acoustics are terrible. You can hear what’s happening down the hallway while in your room. Think twice if you have a young family. Photos are misleading. They must have been taken when the property was new.

The property was okay, however the walls are not sound proof, had some very excited, boisterous kids arriving late in the evening and took a while for them to settle.

Myself and the kids were very comfortable. We had an apartment and it had a fridge, toaster oven, toaster, microwave, as well as a plug in hot plate and dishwasher. We didn’t use most of it but we could have. The facilities are t brand new but they are very good and kept clean. The location is convenient with so many things in walking distance. Parking was easy, and our interactions with staff were pleasant and hassle free. Will stay again!

The best thing about this hotel was its location. We were within 5 minutes of where we needed to be and an easy drive from anything else. That's pretty much the only reason why we'd stay again. The two-bedroom apartment that we stayed in was on the first floor and there were no lifts. It seemed that most if not all of the function and conference rooms were also on the first floor so why it was only stairs was baffling. The walls both in the room and in the hallways were grubby and covered in scuff marks. In the apartment one set of net curtains was ripped and there was only one remote to control the heat in both bedrooms. Each bedroom had its own ensuite, which was handy, because we had our children with us. If I'd change something about them however it'd be the fact that the washing machine and dryer were in the smaller bedroom. They could've gone in the kitchen, after all there was no oven so space had already been saved. There was building work going on nearby, which while can't be helped, would be dulled if there was any soundproofing. We could hear the morning alarms that the guest next door had set and over the few days we were away we didn't get much sleep. Service was polite but minimal. We weren't asked if we wanted to book breakfast when we checked in so we didn't. We also weren't asked if we enjoyed our stay when we left. It is understandable that there are limitations to a budget option however a bit of service and cleanliness isn't too much to ask.

Great facilities for a family to stay.

Tv was terrible,main channells didnt work and no hot water in shower is pretty terrible in winter when most of family couldnt shower in morning

Property itself was so smelly and stinky. My children got asthma attack due to the smell of the room and the carpet. We had booked 2 rooms and both were miserable .I had to leave the hotel immediately upon check in and find another hotel. Never recommend any one to this place -it is rotten hell property Imagine people who can’t afford another hotel would have to stay overnight and suffocate.

On arrival meet with a very friendly staff on check in, later welcomed by Foul smell when entering adjacent family rooms, it appears to come from the extremely dirty carpet, looks like never been cleaned, obvious no escape for air anywhere,no cross ventilation, carpet in room was extremely dirty too, found large stain of liquid spill, so was curtains, the same smell welcomed us in room. no large rubbish bins outside rooms, one metal rubbish bin outside wasn't even emptied for 2.5 days while our stay, queen bed has two separate quilts attached by velcro, annoying whole night,
