Mercure Canberra Belconnen

On check in I was asked if I wanted car park which I answered yes. I was given a parking card and instructions on how to enter the car park. On arrival to the boom gate the parking ticket did not work so I simply took a ticket and after settling into the room I went off Downstairs to let staff know that the car park ticket did not work. I was told that it should have worked and they took my ticket and fixed it and was assured that it should now work when exiting the car park. The next morning we had left at around 9am early for our engagement. We tried to exit the car park and the ticket did not work, so my husband offered to run down to the lobby whilst I stayed in the car with the baby. Once he got to the lobby the staff had once again 'fixed' the card and simply said that it should work and to press the button if it did not. He came back to the car and once again it did not work. We pressed the car park help button but no one was answering and by this time several cars were waiting behind us so we once again moved off to the side and my husband ran down again to the lobby. At the lobby the staff said that it should work and to try again. My husband by this time was asking the staff to call someone as this was now the 3rd time. The staff refused and said to try again. Once again it did not work and now the staff eventually came to help us out. The staff member did not want to help us out and resulted in being held up for 30mins because they could not be bothered to help.
