Our family had a great stay. Hôtel is very conveniently located and the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. The rooms were good, beds comfortable. Pool was a welcome relief but there are limited numbers of deck chairs so get in early.

Nicely located in center of district 1, very pleasant welcome and service from staff. We stayed here three times during our family trip to Vietnam.

I’ve been traveling for over 20 years and this has to be the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room is smaller than advertised, there’s mildew in the room that activated my migraine. After talking to the staff, they showed us another room and it has the same mildew smell. They tried to tell me that the hotel is fully booked but then showed me 4 empty rooms on the 1st floor that night. The internet isn’t great and water in the bathtub won’t drain. My family was able to fall asleep so I had to sit in the lobby the whole night. They wouldn’t even let me lay down on the couch. They staff tried to talk about me in Vietnamese not knowing that I’m Vietnamese and I understood everything they said. We had to book another hotel and they won’t even issue a refund for the unused nights. Worse management and policy. Do not recommend at all. Please stay away. There are better hotels in the area

The property has a French feel. It was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly but very limited English. The breakfast was fine. The room was quiet. The bathroom
was small for a family room. Fairly central location.

We booked family room (40m2) and hotel gave us a room on the first floor, from the window you have no view ….looking at the rubbish of the neighbour house. The room did smell . Then I complained about the room and they rebooked my instant without questions to 5th floor. But the room wasn’t 40 m3. As. I was late for my meeting I just took the room. During check out I asked them what room type they had changed me as much smaller than 40m3. They told me it’s a family room too …..? Honestly, only because I booked only for 1 night the hotel don’t need to lie to me that way. One more negative thing is cleanliness of the hote. Overall it looked very clean…but my son (3.5 years) climbed beside / behind the bed ….got a really bad rash from the dirt holding there . Hotel Staff very nice and friendly (helped with car parking and issued me a receipt for the parking) . However, my overall rating for this hotel is it’s not worth the money and for sure not when get downgraded without acknowledge….

Great experience, super clean hotel and the staff were all trying their best to satisfy all our needs. Would definitely go back if I’m around and I highly recommend it for anyone even for families with kids.

This is a gem of a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. I'm a Vietnamese foreigner and I am fluent but I can't understand the accent here. Right off the bat the staff are great communicators speaking English quite well. It's a luxury feel but intimate hotel. Welcoming. Beautiful lobby. Clean white French look, the rooms as well. Nice amenities. But the best thing about this place is the breakfast buffet and afternoon tea. Breakfast has some traditional Viet food which as someone who is Viet, was quite good. All the right fixings. I loved that had always had fruit to eat. Beautiful buffet. Afternoon tea is the height of class. On the rooftop lounge. There is tea, traditional Viet coffee and little bites to eat and more traditional fruit. And staff again so helpful and sweet. Amazing place. And location is fantastic for walking. And the rooftop pool, steamroom and sauna all have great views. My other family stayed at Saigon Prince which is bigger but is nothing in comparison. Au Lac is clean, fresh, exceptionally classy.

Very clean and the staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way. It is a 2 minute walk from a Walking Street: great to see families, couples and people of all ages getting together with food and entertainment ( also statue of Ho Chi Minh and colonial City Hall). It is across the street from the Bitexco Tower with a great 360 view of the city. It is also close enough to see major sites by walking: Post Office, Notre Dame, Book Street, Opera House, Palace and War Museum- we walked to them all and Ben Thanh Market in just a few hours…short 5-10 minutes between each. Great location and great service.
