Little America Hotel

Truly enjoyed our stay. We had kids with us and the pool was nice and there is a restaurant and 75¢ ice cream cones. So all in all we would definitely stay here again

This hotel is an interesting slice of Americana. The business announces itself through numerous highway signs prior to arrival. You can keep the kids entertained by having them count the number of 'Little America' signs they see. The site is well-tended and the staff is friendly. A minor problem with our room's air conditioning was readily fixed. The room we stayed in was in a lodge built in the 1950s and the bathroom had retained the original pink tile. The room furnishings were a bit quaint and the nightstands had seen better days but were still functional. Overall the room was clean, but a bit noisy due to the rooftop fan. 'Little America' is primarily a truck stop and appears popular with those driving the long haul. Food options are limited to the site and you are reliant on the giftshop grill and deep-fry should you arrive after 7:00pm. If you anticipate a late arrival, consider grabbing a meal along the interstate or packing in some food (the room had a microwave oven). There is no complementary breakfast. A good place to stay for those in transit on I-80. Check out the penguin in the lobby.
