Holiday Inn Express Janesville - I-90 & US Hwy 14, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was great. Unfortunately for us it was a tournament weekend. As soon as we walked in we were bombarded with kids. They were running around everywhere. We couldn’t enjoy the free breakfast because it was packed with kids. There wasn’t enough room, so we missed out on that 2 of the 3 days we were there. The pool was also overflowing with kids. They were also running up and down the hallway so we couldn’t even enjoy the time in our room.

I reserved two rooms and we checked in to the rooms separately as a family because we were coming from different cities and we wound up on the first floor for one room and 3rd floor for the other. We always pack as we are going to share things because our rooms have always been next to each other. They should have reserved the room next to the one that my husband checked into earlier in the day. It made our stay difficult to be on different floors.

Our family enjoyed the pool. The room was very clean and the staff was professional and friendly.

Amazinv front check in girl. Went above and beyond for our family. From simple things as finding us the condiments we need at 9 pm from a take. She was also able to relocate our rooms so they were adjoining. Not to forget to mention she brought our family more towels to the pool area at 930pm! The kindest young lasy ive seen working! Our rooms weee clean , comfortable and quiet!

Hotel was adequate. Beds were comfortable and staff was friendly. For fun, our family has a Google docs spreadsheet that we rate hotel breakfasts. The breakfast rated 2.7 out of 5 based on ratings from our 4 family members that rated it.

The pool area was not well ventilated for the chlorine smell and kids were coughing from it and eyes were burning. The eye burn was not even from being in the pool as it was the adults in our party with the issues.

The bathroom was very large. Comfy bed. TV hard to work. Remote didn't work. Too many kids unsupervised in hot tub constantly playing with bubble controls!

The hotel was over al ok. The breakfast was not the greatest but the kids ate it. Wish the hot tub would have been working.

The bathroom was disgusting! NO hand soap provided at all. White washcloths were discolored and dingy. The tub stopper was left shut, and the faucet was leaking, leaving water to pool in the tub. I had to reach into cold, slimy water to open the stopper. Stained/grimy tub bottom. My daughter pointed at the curtain by the chair and said "Mom, look, there is a milk stain on the curtain". I'm not convinced it was from milk... Tried calling the front desk, but there was no answer. It was late, and the kids were tired. So we touched as few surfaces as possible, went to sleep, and got the heck out of there as fast as we could in the morning. What a waste of $200. I would have felt cleaner sleeping in my car at a truck stop.
