Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Wausau, WI

I love this hotel we like to stay there when family comes a few times a year but this time I was told that locals are not aloud to stay I have never heard of this rule when I booked it did not say this I spent $500 for two rooms for two night the price was great until I got there and the front desk said we will allow it this time only I are very neat people we leave tips we are appreciate staff and travelers I am a small business owner In this area for 17 years I have Adult Group Homes and believe the community needs support. I am fine with the rules it has never been in forced before. When I booked there was no warnings please do better I felt like I was doing something wrong and I was lucky the allowed to stay I hate to think it was discrimination

Overall hotel was nice. Room was clean. Breakfast was great. Pool area was nice as has lots of natural light. What I didn’t like was room 113. It is adjacent to the laundry. It is so loud in the room because the plumbing is in the wall right next to the beds. And this isn’t your normal washer. It’s the commercial type for the hotel linens. When checking in, the evening staff advised of the laundry but assured it was the last load of the night. It was so no worries. The problem began at 5 AM when it started again and we were trying to sleep. I called the front desk and they said no worries we’ll stop. It stopped for 10 minutes and started up again. I went out to the front desk and asked to please stop as my family was trying to sleep. The lady basically told me to pound sand. They had laundry to do. Long story. Avoid room 113 at all costs!!!

Great hotel, but we were disappointed that our grandchildren couldn't swim in the pool with us. They were from the Wausau area also.

I never write reviews but have to say that this is one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at. The air conditioning was broken so in the common areas and pool the temp was 81 degrees. The staff was not kid friendly and we were here for a large soccer tournament in Wausau. The only person that was friendly was the woman in charge of the continental breakfast. She was very kind and helpful. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Expedia sold this room as PET-FRIENDLY HOTEL AND IT IS NOT!!! Arrived at 9:30 pm with an infant and small dogs and was told they didn’t accept pets…..
