GrandStay Residential Suites - Eau Claire

We had a major problem with Hotels.com, but the Grandstay Residential Suites was excellent. We have stayed here three times and always had great customer service, a nice breakfast, and have really enjoyed the suites for traveling with young kids (bedrooms with real doors, not just a low dividing wall, and the kitchenette stocked with cookware & dishware). However, when we arrived, the hotel had no record of us having changed our dates of arrival, even though hotels.com had sent me a confirmation email of the changes that I had made. This is not the first time (involving different hotels in different cities) that we have had issues that were hotels.com's fault, not the local hotel's. We will continue to stay at the Grandstay every time we're in Eau Claire, but we will book directly with the hotel.

Very nice place. We rented the family suite with mini kitchen for the weekend, it was spacious. AC worked great (it was very hot outside) so.l this was a bonus. We were on 3rd floor. Pool is small and shallow... 4 feet deep but worked well for my littles. Hot tub jets were broke and boiling hot 1st night then chilly the 2nd night. Breakfast was okay, we have had better. Good location, close to shopping, food, and baseball tournament (which was why we were in town). Overall nice family stay/place.

Clean comfortable spacious rooms. We stay here when we visit family in Eau Claire. Every suite has its own separate bedroom. Full sized frig and stove, with microwave and even a dishwasher.

My family and I stayed here several times before but will not use this hotel anymore. When we checked out, I accidentally left behind in the room my expensive curling iron and make up bag with high end make up. The hotel staff and manager denied seeing my items when I called to inquire about them the next day. My daughter lives in Eau Claire and offered to get them that same day. The manager accused me of lying or suggested perhaps I left my items somewhere else when we just went from the hotel to our home with no stops. No apology. No investigation. The manager was very rude while I stayed polite and respectful. I cannot recommend this hotel. It can't be trusted.

Over all it was a nice stay we where not there much as we were out with family but there was a time we asked house keeping to come up quickly and a lady was at our room quickly and she was really nice and friendly. The breakfast wasn't the greatest and one morning decided to order out our breakfast instead of eating there's but the pool was ok water a little cold but not too bad and disappointed the jets in the hot tub didn't work but had no problems with the staff everyone that worked there was great and friendly and enjoyed spending time out in the court yeard. I would stay again

We had a comfortable stay and the staff were very friendly. However, the building could use some updating and deep cleaning (the air vents were caked in dust as one example). I was appalled by the number of young children in bare feet serving themselves breakfast (including running the waffle iron). It seemed unsafe and unhygienic. Signage in the breakfast area requiring shirts and shoes as well as children under ten needing adult supervision need to be posted.

Went to check in and Ethel double sweet booking wasn’t there. Very rude person at the check in desk said it wasn’t her problem because I booked through a 3rd party. Contacted Hotels.com and they said our reservation was open on their end. Grandstay showed cancelled on their end and told us we would just have to go somewhere else. Took our family group of 7 to another hotel and now they won’t refund the one single room they thought we could all stay in. Room had bloody sheets on the bed so obviously hadn’t been cleaned

Very friendly and ready to help staff. The room was very clean except for some silverware that didn’t get cleaned all the way in the dishwasher like the sign indicated (not a big deal at all.) The only real bummer was the 5 toddlers in the hot tub that one of the staff members saw and didn’t do anything about. I’m unsure if there was an age restriction on the hot tub, but if there isn’t there should be. If there is then maybe a more prevalent sign for the parents to see would be nice. Not really the hotels fault, but it did take away from some relaxing plans. The breakfast was good with delicious donuts! Overall a great stay, and extra brownie points for the Bath and Body Works products in the bathroom!!

I chose this Hotel because hot tub , unfortunately Whirlpool was out of order my kids was major disappointment .

The staff was amazing at check in and check out. The room was beautiful and the hotel was in a really convenient spot. My husband and I have 4 kids and this was our first weekend alone. The only thing that could’ve made it better was if the hot tub was working-but that stuff just happens sometimes :)
