Hotel was very nice. Bed was hard and first night very little hallway noise. The second night- Saturday night, was completely different. Kids running and the hallways and some parents were loudly telling them to stop but to no avail. Didn’t stop until after midnight which was disappointing and gave us little sleep. There were both girls state basketball and boys wrestling, so possibly we should have expected this but hadn’t and honestly, kids should not be running the hallways after 10….

I recently stayed at this location and gave an amazing review, sadly my stay this time was not the same. Upon checking in I was greeted with nothing but rudeness. From trying to downgrade a prepaid room. When I declined questioning me? I was in town on a personal matter for a child ( medical.) last thing I needed was to be met with kickback when trying to do a simple check in. I love this hotel but will never stay here again as I won't risk this front desk attendant and her attitude

Next to the elevators was a suite that I thoroughly enjoyed. A desk just inside the door to the left, sofa, fridge and microwave unit and large window overlooking Grace Episcopal church. Around the corner was the separate bedroom and closet. It was easy enough to use a finger to trace my way around the C to the bathroom at night. There's nothing like getting up in the morning and going outside to be greeted with the capitol view. Lots of people are out and about each morning, some walking dogs or children. Lots of wonderful restaurants around the square and State Street.

Stayed the weekend with family to enjoy the UW Madison Spring Band Concert. The room was large, clean & comfortable. Beautiful Capitol & lake views! Nice indoor pool. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a fabulous one night stay! Very well appointed decor. Spacious, clean room. Enjoyed dinner & drinks at the Post restaurant located on the 1st floor. Fun watching the foot traffic around Capitol building out the large plate glass windows. My kids enjoyed the pool. Feels like a 4-star hotel even though it has a 3.5 rating! The free valet parking a great perk!
