This property is unique. The staff was amazing but it just was not our family’s preference. If you are looking for a historical and unique property it is beautiful.

Great location. Stately historic hotel with expansive and well-equipped fitness center, cozy theater room, library and pool table. And a convenient baby grand in the lobby that I intend to play on our next visit. Very accommodating kitchen.

Awesome accommodating staff, A21 the bar was on point with charming beverages and small plates. Beautiful lobby and hotel has a super unique history. Room was unusual, fun, but not quite four stars as it had a ‘worn’ feeling tone, rather than the retro feel in the pictures. Bathroom was cramped and had mildew in the shower. Lots of dogs as their policy is very friendly for fur babies. Tons of fabulous eating joints. Whole area is welcoming to everyone.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were great for our family of four to relax between times spent exploring the city. We would definitely return again!

Didn't try to take advantage of many of the amenities. Stayed in the Suite. Had a toddler stay on the convertible sofa bed - would not recommend it for an adult. I think the part of the hotel we stayed in was not in the historic building. I will say the lobby and public areas were done up to preserve some of the nice historical elements - but it was obvious it needed some TLC. The elevators were quite shabby for example - a lot of wear and tear for the image they try to project through the marketing materials. The room design was nice enough. In the newer wing - the ceilings are very low and the doors don't have closers on them, so it is LOUD. The sounds of neighbors coming and going is a little intense. In general, Bellingham is a crazy rowdy place. If you're looking for a relaxing PNW enclave, downtown Bellingham is not the place to stay. There were no bars outside of our window, but the cops had to come settle people down around 2am. I did appreciate the ear buds that were in the room! Parking is first come first serve, and there is a large homeless population. I live on the west coast in a neighborhood with a lot of people experiencing homelessness, but the vibe around this hotel felt more dangerous than what I am used to. Of course, I can't know for sure. But to be safe, try to get parking early and leave your car there.

We come here every year for New Year’s Eve (we have family in town) and every time I love it more. I had one of the best gin and tonics at their hotel bar. Definitely recommend.

Honestly, I didn't read the reviews for this one, so I was in for a real treat. The front desk staff members at the time of this review were all amazing! They helped us find a parking spot and got us to our rooms swiftly. They also shared information about the other amenities such as the WiFi and the bar in the lobby. I absolutely love the simple, yet very chic design of the rooms. I usually sleep with earplugs, but the silence of the streets and the comfy bed made me sleep like a baby! The hotel is surrounded by tons of neat restaurants, bars, and other places like the NEKO Cat Cafe within walking distance. This is my new favorite hotel in B-Ham.
