Comfort Suites Wytheville

Our family always stays in Whytheville, Va on our way to Myrtle Beach, SC it serves as a half way point. Comfort Inn and Suites was a nice, clean, and convenient place to stay. This location was under new management at the time of booking. The staff was friendly, and accommodating. The hotel offered, fresh infused water with lemon or oranges, coffee, tea, hot chocolate 24 hours a day, also a hot breakfast on the weekend. The kids loved the pool which was clean and lots of towels to dry off with. The hot tub was broke at the time of visit, however we have used it in past visits and it is very nice, hope they prioritize getting it repaired quickly! The beds were comfortable and the room was perfect temperature, loved the big bathtub! I seen other reviews where people are bothered by the sounds of the highway, however I believe that can vary by person, the sounds were southing to me. The mountain views right out the window is beautiful! I highly recommended this hotel and will be back in the future.

One night stop on way home with family

Excellent family hotel! Last minute stay and what a great option. Friendly staff, good large variety hot breakfast, indoor pool, comfortable beds and pillows. If I am in Virginia again, I will definitely return.

My family arrived to the hotel about 10:45 pm and the front desk gentleman was very nice and processed the check in very quickly. The room was clean and spacious for a family of 5 to move around. The beds were comfy too.

Really nice stay. Staff members were great- very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Room was good - very large. Some furnishings seemed mildly worn. There was a smell that made us think it had previously been a smoking room. It seemed very loud, but we discovered the window was unlocked and slightly open (third floor, no screen - would have been easy for a kid to have a disaster). Area around had many food options. Pool was blue. Breakfast had many choices. Fruit infused ice water in the lobby was a lovely touch.

Under new management and it shows. Fresh fruit in lobby, knowledgeable staff, clean rooms with small details that matter. We really liked staying here with 2 adults and 3 kids after a long day of driving.

Our bedroom was not clean - used tissues on the floor, sticky bathroom floor. the pull out bed was broken and dirty, resulting in my husband sleeping in our car because we didn't have an extra bed (family of 5) and the hotel did not have any rooms for us to move in. The two different front desk workers weren't very helpful and we believe one of them was high. would definitely not recommend this hotel at all.

Got this as a last minute stay for the night after traveling with a few kiddos and obviously went based off of internet reviews which seemed pleasant at best. We arrived there and was told the pool/hot tub was freezing due to a heater being out which wasn’t a big deal but it was one of the selling points for the kids. Went to the room and noticed nothing gets wiped down. TV, night stands, controls/mirrors were all dirty/fingerprints/food crumbs. Woke up in the AM and was met with signs all over the building with Breakfast was closed due to electrical issues but could have at least served fruit/bagels/small items.

We loved it so much we came back to it in our way back home. It was very clean except the tub had hair in it both stays and I’m super picky about hair. And the pool was still “temporary under construction”. The staff was fantastic and the breakfast was sooo good! Would definitely recommend it to any family because they also had a pull out bed for our 5th family member.

Pool drained, no notice on website, booked a "suite " because of 2 children, huge disappointment.A cigarette Lighter and dirt in the bed. Room smells like an attempt to cover smoking. Requested reduced rate, told a note had to be left for manager. Nice young man but no help. Children and Grandmother crying.
