Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Williamsburg-Historic Gateway, an IHG Hotel

Ive stayed here before And when it was less than others nearby I thought I'd stay again. Last night when I returned to the hotel after for the night there was a group of people who were acting up and upset. in the lobby The front desk was not responding to the over sized crowd of young people outside.a strong smell of pot smoking was everywhere even the elevator. This was a small family trip I didn't say any and just went back to our room figured that the night manager job When I came out this morning I found out my truck was keyed! This was a brand new vehicle for us. The staff member I told said that they are not responsible and theirs no camara for the parking lot only the lobby and hallway. This is very unreleasable response from your staff and a disappointment for holiday inn In Williamsburg. Don't stay here go to Marriott Where they do have security personnel and cameras.

This was a safe hotel stay. The 2 issues we had that impacted our stay was, our AC unit leaked and has been leaking for a while because the room smelled like mold and both of our children got runny noses over night the first night, and are still congested today, 4 days later. We couldn't switch room because they were fully booked. We also booked late arrival and to have a crib and we called 2 days before and a few hours before arrival to confirm these option were ok, so we could prepare properly. We were told by 2 staff members that we were fine, and when we got there, we were told they didn’t have any cribs and we got the last room. I’m glad we at least got a room, we have an 8 month old and a 3 year old, that would’ve been horrible if it went south. My recommendation is, if you’re traveling far and won’t get there “normal” hours, don’t book here, it’s all up to chance. We only stayed long enough each day for breakfast and that was nice, they let me bring it up to our room so we wouldn’t have to wake the kids. Staff was friendly, even though communication prior to our arrival was false.

Room size was perfect. We did not feel crammed in the room like a lot of hotels with two doubles and a sleep sofa. Was perfect for 4 adults and 3 kids!

Great place to stay with the family! Friendly staff and quick check-in. Suite was a little smaller than expected, but we made it work. Clean space and no yucky odors. Pool was clean and hot tub was working! Lots of shopping and dining options in the area. Would stay here again when in VA.

I was in town visiting family. I checked in SUPER late and to my surprise the front desk attendant, Addie, was soooooo sweet and attentive. The rooms were super spacious and clean. Absolutely no complaints.

One lady anytime me and my girlfriend and our kids would come in would not acknowledge us but let someone walk in right behind us and she was very pleasant towards those guests

We booked this place because it had an indoor pool and hot tub. We checked in and were informed that both the hot tub and pool were out of service and were closed. We had 4 children who were looking forward to swimming for a month and they were all very upset about the pool being closed. The room was visually clean, but if you looked closer it was not up to (my) standards. The air conditioner was not staying on, and our room was very hot for sleeping. The bathroom has no fan, gets steamy when you shower. In fact, there was no fan at all in the room and therefore we had no noise buffer to cancel out all the usual hotel noises you hear throughout the night 🙄 No tv guides in the room so you’re just guessing what each channel is while flipping through. WiFi was really slow and weak as well.

Great visit! Friendly staff! The Bisto was great their burgers was really good! The bartender was very friendly! The kids loved the pool. The rooms was clean and bed was nice.
