Best Western Staunton Inn

kids really loved the indoor pool.

Have stayed here on prior trips to visit family. Recommend for traveling.

Another selectively updated hotel with staff that ranged from indifferent to friendly. An incompletely cleaned pet-friendly room that smelled like a kennel. I’ve traveled with my dog a lot over the last three years, and this is the only time I’ve had a room smell so strongly of dog/animal. The pet fee was only $15 and perhaps a higher fee might provide the resources needed to actually vacuum and occasionally scrub a carpet? The microwave was smeared with grubby hand prints (a child?), and the bathroom counter was not completely clean. The noise from the highway is noticeable but not overwhelming. Everything else about this hotel is perfectly average and no more than one could expect at the price point and location.

Easy access to I-81 for us on our drive from AL to NJ. The staff were extremely friendly and hospitable! The breakfast was standard hotel continental (good). The property is a little dated but the rooms are clean & comfortable. Another guest wrote about the train. It’s true, a train is out back but my family slept right through it. It’s quiet as it passes (no horn, squealing, etc.). We had a great stay and would come back!

The property was GREAT when it came to location. We were 30 min closer to home and only 30ish minutes from JMU to see our kid. Staff was great, Room was great. Hotel needed some updates but over all we really liked it and will be staying again.

Clean! Clean ! Basic but nice ! Continental breakfast could have been better. The kids loved the pool! Would be nice if there waa a small workout room. Staff was great !

Was a perfect location for our family visit and convenient to all food facilities. Clean and a good value. Only reason for less comfort was they only had double beds and we prefer queen size.

Met family briefly, visited Luray Caverns also!! Comfortable and safe area, convenient location.

Three night stay with two children. Hotel was conveniently located right of I 81. Room phone in first room didn't work and we got another room right away. Nice and quiet, despite being next to train tracks. Rooms clean and up to Best Western Standard. Nice continental breakfast (waffles, omelets, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, bread, yoghurt, milk, cereal, fruit, danish....); breakfast area just tended to get crowed very quickly. Nice pool!
