Front desk workers were more concerned about their phones. And helping the white people, then helping myself with my brown grandchildren

My trip was amazing. I was traveling with family. It was 4 in the group and the 2 bedroom suite gave us the room need to make our trip comfortable and relaxing.

I book the hotel because I thought it would be able to accommodate my family. The stay was okay but the pull out couch didn’t work and the room had a wired smell. I told the lady at the front desk but she didn’t offer to change my room.

I booked a suite for my daughter and her large family to stay. The rooms were large and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was the usual hotel fare, but everything was hot and tasty.

I thought the hot breakfast had a good variety of foods and juices. The staff was pleasant and helpful. It was helpful to have the two rooms for our family of 4 plus our dog - being pet friendly was a definite plus! The property condition was okay. One of the closet doors was off the track when we arrived, and the air vent had a musty smell.

This property is run down and in need of renovations…plumbing, flooring, closet doors…you name it. The room options are good for families traveling, but I would consider staying somewhere else if they do not do something about up keeping the rooms/property.

I occasionally stay overnight in Richmond and have stayed at a broad variety of hotels in the area. On two occasions where a co-worker also had to stay overnight as well, I had the opportunity to stay at Homewood Suites in one of the full-sized suites (suitable for a family of 8). I enjoyed the level of privacy and independence such a suite affords so much that, when I would be attending a wedding in the area with a parent, I knew not only where I wanted to stay but the perfect style room for two independent individuals to stay in. From the moment you enter the front, everything about this place says "welcome home". And at the end of a long day, that's exactly the experience someone wants. To come back to a place with the key comforts of home. While my longest stay was several nights, the full kitchen and cupboard essentials would make it great for extended stays. The location right near 250 and just 1 mile from Interstate 64, makes it extremely convenient to find and to go to anywhere else in the area you need to go. With studio style suites as well, lots of versatility. Highly recommend!

The A/C was not working in our room, had a three-year-old with us and had to change rooms three times because of the AC not working in each room and ended up in a room with two twin beds instead of the one king bed that my husband and I originally paid for. Was told multiple times by the front desk that the issue was fixed but it was not our room was 82° when we got back from dinner (while it was 88° outside) and my husband had to physically bring the staff up to the room to show them that the air was not working and then we finally got a room that has working A/C after packing and unpacking and moving a toddler and dragging a pack and play full of things down the hall to three different rooms. The other group of people we were with also had to change their room because of no working A/C. Was a very disappointing stay will never come back to this hotel again and will never recommend this hotel to anybody.

Arrived at 9 pm with infant- was given a room on third floor furthest away from elevator. After carrying everything up, the rooms AC unit was ripped from the wall and it was like a sauna with a broken AC. Went back down to lobby and they moved us to another room “free of charge.” The next night the room above us was playing music so loudly and kids are wrestling where it sounded like a stampede from 9-midnight. Husband had to call lobby twice and was about to call the police before it calmed down.
