This has been the worst stay I had in a Westin. Twice in a row our neighbors would turn on LOUD music at 1am. Last night the music lasted 2 hours with LOUD banging between 1am and 3am. We called reception twice, at 1:20am and 1:40am, they said they would send someone, nobody came, and the music continued until 3:00am. The two staff available during the night were absolutely unprofessional. We have complained in the morning to the receptionist who mentioned escalating to their manager, but we have not heard from them. Not only will we not stay there in the future but we will actively recommend people in our circles not to stay there. This is absolutely unacceptable given the price of the night. Our toddler in our room was being awake by absurdly loud music at 1am for 2 hours. We are hoping a gesture will be done by the management of the hotel, but we didn’t hear from them.

A lot of noise at night from kids running through the hallways. This happened both evenings.

Everything was great! We really enjoyed ourselves. My bed was just small for myself and my children but that may have been a problem on my end when it came to booking.

We stayed with our 2 children at the Westin Arlington and can't say enough positive things. We used to live in Ballston 7 years ago and were excited to come back and visit DC with our kids and friends. We booked this property because it had a pool and was a short walk from the Ballston Metro (Orange Line). There were a number of restaurants within steps of the hotel. The pool was a good size although popular given the limited hours (3-10 pm on Weekends; 6-10 pm on weekdays). But we spent most of our time seeing the sights so it was okay. We stayed on the 12th floor in a double-double. The room was average size but the beds were comfortable and everything felt clean and updated. Our friends and I both traveled with kids and I noticed that we didn't hear a PEEP from either of the rooms next to us. You can hear people in their rooms through the doors, but not through the walls, which is not usually the case. The hotel seemed popular for school groups as we saw several arrive and taking up the elevators, but that's to be expected as we traveled during spring break. Other than that, our visit was not impacted by other guests at the hotel. We would definitely stay here for future visits.

Room was outdated and not clean. Way too expensive for actual quality of amenities and the room. The pool is only open from 6-10 at night. If you arrive later with kids you cannot use the pool in the morning before check out the next day. Very disappointed overall.

My family and I have stayed at this hotel before and they never disappoint. Check-in/check-out is easy, comfort and cleanliness. Many restaurants in the area.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Westin. The room and bathroom were very clean upon our arrival. The customer service was great. The beds were so comfortable. The location is great, you have Starbucks next door and other stores nearby. Easy access for Uber and Lyft pick ups. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

I was very disappointed during my stay. The hotel had good ratings so I wasn’t expecting the worst experience. I get into my my room and it was dirty and nothing seems to work. I took a shower after going to the pool and it was freezing cold; I turned it to the highest hottest setting. I had better shower at home. The refrigerator did not make our drinks cold, the AC/heat was loud, remote control would not change the channels, and furniture was not clean and some appeared to be damage. The pool was pack and the lifeguard allowed anyone in where the maximum capacity was not obeyed. The kids were also allowed to swim without the parents being present - that could be a liability issue. Worst of all, the was loud music noise while we were trying to sleep. I called front desk using the hotel phone and no one ever picked up so I called using outside line. I asked the hotel front desk if there were a club nearby that’s causing the loud noise and what time they closed. In response, they indicated that there were no clubs nearby but they will go on each floor to check out the loud noise. Eventually, the loud noise stopped. Despite that I couldn’t sleep, the bed was uncomfortable and I was next to the loud AC/heating unit. Overall, I will never return to this hotel base on this experience. It was so bad!

Great location, lobby was beautiful, and staff was great at check-in. Rooms were comfortable, but in need of some updates and maintenance. On the website the pool was supposed to open at 5pm, but when we got down there, it didn't open until 6pm. Not a huge deal, just a little frustrating after we changed the kids into their swimsuits.

Checked in online the night before. Told them I would be there around 2pm. Waited until 2:45 to show up and even let them know I was on my way. Despite updating me that they didn’t have a room ready for me yet, at 3:40pm I finally got fed up and tried to check in in person where I was told, “oh, we don’t have your credit card on file so we couldn’t check you in, that’s why you don’t have a room number or digital key.” When I asked when they were planning on telling me this fact do I could have tried to check in an hour earlier, the front desk attendant became aggressive. Not a good experience at all. The hotel is dated and caters to large groups of children. But the food and bar were both nice and the room was comfortable.
