Waterside Inn

Very nice family operated motel. Room was clean and offered a balcony with a view of the bay. Convenient location with easy access to Chincoteague town center and the Wildlife Refuge. Limited but decent complimentary breakfast.

Good value, great pool and views from every room, and surprisingly, a decent free breakfast! If you don't expect perfection and can handle a little rough around the edges with some class, this is your place and mine. Definitely family friendly.

The Waterside Inn is one of my family’s favorite places to stay, the rooms are always so clean, adorable for a beach themed hotel and you can’t beat the view of the water from your room. The pool that they have on sight is clean, the temperature is always perfect and never too busy. We will continue coming back here AGAIN and AGAIN.

the Waterside Inn was a perfect honeymoon destination for my husband and I. the rooms were stunning with beautiful views. We finished each night by watching the sunset on the harbor while sitting in their hot tub. We couldn't be happier with our stay and recommend them to all of our family and friends.

We arrived 3 mins after the front desk closed. It was frustrating because we had driven through a scary storm, with an exhausted cranky baby. Upon arrival we had to search for other nearby hotel options. Hotels.com please update the information to show that the hotel front desk closes and there’s no after hours checkin option.

Very disappointed in condition of the property I stayed here often some years ago and it was beautifully kept and clean as a pin. bath tub was so dirty I did not even want to stand in it to shower so I didn't shower. children ran all night over top of our heads and called front office to get no answer. so no sleep either. many of the deck boards are in very bad shape

It was a very pleasant surprise when I got to the room. A real family atmosphere as well. Internet not great, but that is the only issue. I would stay there again.

The hotel was very pleasant, clean, and the staff helpful. We would stay again. The pool was very popular with families, and they do provide crab traps to use off the hotel dock, which in my travel experience is unique. The rooms were comfortable and clean, if dated, and the staff friendly and attentive while being unpretentious and rather down to earth. We realized this when we were given a metal key to our room door rather than the plastic card that's so prevalent these days. The continental breakfast was nice though pedestrian, boxed cereal, preformed eggs, and biscuits & gravy were provided each morning, though the made to order waffles were the best offering. Overall, if you're looking for an upscale hotel, this is not the place for you. On the other hand if you're looking for a nice, clean, decent place to stay that's located a short drive to why you're most likely on Chincoteague island I'd recommend considering the Waterside Inn.

I would definitely book here again. Staff makes sure the premises is clean. Pool was cleaned daily and the pier was a bonus because my family loves to fish. The pier was in good condition. Our room was clean and staff was friendly.
