Tälta Lodge Bluebird

We loved the bluebird! The outdoor backyard was beautiful! We went in the hot tub at night overlooking the river. I did a little yoga in the yoga room off of the pool while the kids swam. We hopped into the sauna for a bit too! The room we chose had two bunk beds which was fun for the kids. The neat style of the hotel was fun and unique. We loved the downstairs lounge- played games and relaxed there. We’d def return and also look for BlueBird hotels in other locations. It reminded us of IKEA. :)

Very cute place to stay. Went with wife and two teenage kids, and thought it would be fun to stay in the bunk room...they thought that was great. Back door opens us to a great green space, right along the river. Several places to sit and enjoy the river and/or fire pits. Would recommend to anyone looking for a clean and beautiful spot to put their head down and enjoy the beauty of Vermont.

This lodge was just perfect! We came with three small children and absolutely loved the pool, hot tub, and outdoor area to run around. We will definitely be coming back!

Great location and price. The only problem we had was noise from other people around us. The floor of the corridor was poorly made so when you walked it was like a trampoline that every step was loud. My wife tried to have a relaxing day reading and sleeping, but kids kept on running up and down the corridor all day disturbing her.

This was a modern and fun experience! We loved the room, atmosphere, and helpful staff. There was a coffee bar in the lobby, great pool, and close by to Stowe downtown as well as the ski resort/gondola. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. The hotel staff was attentive. The room access is perfect for families who love to ski or sightsee.

Initially, we didn't really have high expectations.. From the descriptions, it looked like it could've been a hipster Airbnb with your own check in or something... Excited that there was a sprawling front lodge with an actual person tending desk assured us we had made the right decision and enjoyed checking in.. The overall concept is new/design/inexpensive and wanting in the hospitality business: well designed inexpensive accommodations to stay that are in decent locations with plenty of room to walk around... It has a really different vibe than most commercial or private hotels. We paid a bit extra for a patio and was surprised to find a live jazz band playing a few hundred feet away, making it an excellent cocktail & Hot tub zone.. We were gonna find some food, but there was a pop-up with a fantastic Japanese restaurant, and we ended up ordering off the menu and taking our food down to a fire pit. Amongst the various fire pits and sitting areas outside, there's a couple of fire pits that are covered like stables, having steel roofs and horizontal slats on the walls, and as the sun went down, the fire and the sake warmed us up. It was raining lightly, but that only succeeded in keeping the small children away from us... It looks like they're in process of building some new standalone prefab structures which in stark modern black finish, look beautiful against the river banks.. Can't wait till they're done, it would be a singular spot for a ski adventure.

Very nice facility friendly and lots for the family’s

We booked two nights and stayed for one. Not an ideal place to stay if you enjoy sleeping and relaxing. Doors violently slamming at all hours of the night (sounded like gun shots), shaking walls, and you can hear every little thing the person in the next room is doing (dropping a bar of soap in the shower, discussing their dinner that night, spanking their child, etc). The bed was comfortable and water pressure in shower was intense. Lighting not great and while my wife and I appreciate the minimalist Scandinavian style, there was no counter space in the bathroom if you wanted to place a toiletry bag, hair dryer or makeup kit. Very little functionality to most of the room. No entry rug so you’re tracking in snow, salt and dirt into the room. It made the floors slippery and dirty. Hot tub gone… now a yoga room with a leaking ceiling. Pool cold. In the end, we had to cut out early and book another place so we could get some sleep and relax.

Amazing stay! Highly recommended. I will be back with friends and family.
