If your not packing a backpack this is not the hotel for you!! There is NO elevator to go to your room. I can definitely see this being a problem for many reasons in many families. Not to mention that the a/c didn't work in our room and I pulled my back out going down 6 flights of stairs with my luggage. This was at the beginning of my week trip. Just is something to9 think about.

The Lodge was very nice and felt like home, the service was great, the area beautiful, and even though it was short, it was relaxing. The lady at the front desk who was also our bar tender was awesome and fun to chat with. We arrived late after a long day at a family burial in NE VT and she still served us and never made us feel like we were holding her up (Google hadn’t been updated that closing was moved up an hour). The to-go breakfast was perfect too and greatly appreciated as we had to leave early to catch a flight. Can’t wait to come back with the whole family and explore more.

The hang out areas were fun. The board games were a great idea and we plan on buying one of them to play with our families. We liked the decorations in the bar area (the entire place really) and the breakfast was delish. The coffee, tea, and fruit station was nice to have.

We absolutely loved our stay at Field Guide Lodge! The staff was so friendly and we ended up with an upgraded room for our or at family vacation! The breakfast every morning was fantastic, the decor was super fun, and the location couldn’t have been better. We got to take advantage of the hot tub as well. Communication was a breeze. We had a perfect time and can’t wait to visit again!

Field Guide Lodge was great for kids, but also entertaining for adults. The bar / lodge scene on the weekends was fantastic -- with live music both nights!

We booked a lodge king for a last minute 3 night getaway. The photo on the lodge site shows, a relatively spacious room with a king bed, a bureau, and a chair. When we checked in, there was NO WHERE, not a shelf (1,that I could not reach), not a bureau, not a single horizontal surface-other than the floor- where I could put three days of clothing. The bathroom had no where to put a toiletry kit other than near on a low shelf by the floor. Not a shelf where I could reach in get my toiletries. I had to balance my kit, use it, then stash it near the floor again. In addition, on the third night ((6/26) there were kids(?) shrieking and laughing late into the night. We have friends who recommended the FG. We were uterly disappointed.
