Overall not a bad place to stay. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast options were decent, although it’s nothing special. My one major complaint is that the room was not sound proof at all. I could hear the kids in the room next to us screaming at 5am, and the people above us walking around at 11pm. The window also faces into a common area so you can hear everything going on outside at all times. If you’re sensitive to sound, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Otherwise the accommodations were fine.

Check in was pleasant, the woman at the desk was nice. We asked for two adjoining rooms for our family, but they were only available if you book a suite plus a room with two double beds, so call ahead to make sure you are booking the right room types if you want adjoining. Since I made my reservations in a rush, I didn't see that there aren't interior corridors. The building we were in has pairs of rooms that share an exterior entrance. We weren't able to be paired with the rest of our family. When I got in the room, the phone was unplugged and I had to move the bed to plug it in. I think a guest unplugged it because the message light was flashing. I erased the messages and it went away. The biggest problem was that one of our rooms had a broken air conditioner and it stayed 75 degrees all night. It probably needed a new fuse. The maintenance person brought a fan that helped slightly.

From the moment we walked in we were wowed. Stella went out of her way to welcome us and make us feel at home. She upgraded our family to a suite so we would have a little more room, which was extremely nice of her. The hotel itself is amazing. Very clean and well kept. My family and I travel a lot and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

My father used to own the restaurant on the property 40 yrs ago. The staff was very gracious in letting me go upstairs to show my children around and where things used to be so they could experience a part of my childhood and their grandfather’s history. It was very meaningful to us as we were in town to bury my mother and will not likely be in the area again any time soon. It was much appreciated! Thank you!
