Our favorite stop in the way to visit family. The staff at the hotel and restaurant is always friendly. We also enjoy the historic feel of the hotel.

The property was neat ,clean and unique. Just love it. Rooms clean and tidy. Bed very comfortable. The restaurant was wonderful and reasonably priced. Good food and good portions. We will recommend El Capitan to our friends and family.

The property is beautiful! In the middle of closed or run down businesses this hotel stands out and the staff and service were excellent!!! Conveniently located 55 min from Guadalupe which we visited during our 3 night stay The dining experience, the hotel lobby and the decorations and ambience were outstanding. We would have liked daily housekeeping which was missing I will highly recommend this hotel to family and friends Thank you!

Hotel is beautiful, room very clean & comfortable. Everyone at the hotel provided wonderful service. Patio area so tranquil & relaxing. The restaurant was a nice bonus, food delicious & Robert especially was very kind, attentive, & provided excellent service. Pets are welcomed here very important for those of us that travel with family pets. My sister & I Highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful, well maintained old hotel. would like the bar opened a little later since we have to travel to and from the hotel to family etc.

Staff was excellent, very polite and encouraging Hotel is old and beautiful, gorgeous lobby. Have always eaten at the restaurant and been very happy with the menu and quality of food, this was the first time staying there. Standard rooms are small but accommodating, perfect one night stop on our way to visiting family, will be back.

great place to stay. Loved the atmosphere and architecture. Restaurant was crowded on a Tuesday so it must be good. We walked down the street to a cute little family diner. Our room was very clean, linens and towels were top of the line.
