Hampton Inn Pecos

When checking in on the 21st at 5:30 the person checking me in was very rude. I asked if it was possible to get a room on the 1st floor. As I was loading my luggage on a cart he looked for the vacant rooms. He said he had one but it was a room with 2 queen beds and it would cost me $20 more. I had a king size bed now and told him I would not pay $20 more when I should not have too.He was very rude and I dropped the subject and took my room on the 3rd floor.When You and your wife are in your late 70~s it is easier on the first floor. When I went down to check out the next morning the clerk[I believe he was the Manger] said he could not give me a bill until I gave him our keys. I said you have got to be kidding[But he was not] I have stayed in Hotels all over the United States and have never had this happen. Normally the receipt is under the door in the morning. AS You can tell I will never stay at this hotel again . On our return from Arizona we have other choices such as LaQuita.
