Holiday Inn & Suites Spring- The Woodlands Area, an IHG Hotel

Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The check-in staff was kind and friendly but it was very understaffed so checking in was very slow and there was a long line in the lobby the entire afternoon. We also chose this property because it said there would be breakfast and we were looking for that convenience. When we arrived, we were given the key card that had breakfast times listed on the envelope. When we came down in the morning there was no breakfast and we were told they aren’t currently offering it- strange that this was never told to us and all written communication had breakfast on it. There was also a rather strange convention being held in the downstairs hallway that we had to walk through on the way to the elevator each time which was a little uncomfortable for me with a kid there. All in all, the room was good which is the most important but there we some other weird things happening that would give me pause to book here again.

The staff was friendly, the room was so nice and clean. Honestly the only issues we had here was the fire alarm went off twice during our visit, no idea what happened. The pool was great but the spa not operational. The other thing is i didn't know the food area was under construction until i got there. So the breakfast was not good. Frozen breakfast sandwiches, granola bars and fruit. My husband has an allergy so he could only eat the fruit and the kids don't really like the frozen sandwiches cause the bread gets soggy in the microwave so they ate a granola bar and juice. The coffee was good though. We mainly went out to eat. Im sure this place will be great for someone else when the construction is done.

The king suit with fold out bed was well designed to have open room for a family to not have awkward obstacle in your way. My only issur i i thought i left my id 3 hours away at home and they were not willing to help, instead where quickly trying to cancel my reservation. Hotel policies but still felt belittled a bit until i realized my id was in my jacket i used for work that i luckily brought. We had no hot water but didn't complain.

The staff was super friendly and always welcoming. Specially Shawn she was amazing every night. Made me and my kids feel at home.

Even though it was for a short period, my little family really enjoyed the time we spent there. Would likely recommend!!

Several soccer teams stayed the night I was there. They were unruly and loud. Staff made no effort to control them. They play soccer in hallways until 1:00 AM Nothing left at breakfast with all tables taken by loud kids. Did not get any sleep. Had it not been raining and late, I would have left and looked for other accommodations.
