SpringHill Suites by Marriott San Angelo

West side of town, quiet and near plenty of chain restaurants. Room was just as pictured but starting to show its age a little bit. The layout was a bit unique - a separate "water closet" and literal bath room which is nice for letting someone else use the potty while another person is bathing. Worked well when traveling with kids. Mini fridge, microwave, coffeepot in the room, tv was plenty large and when we were in the room, it had plenty of programming for us to choose from. AC worked well which is very important for a Texas hotel. Breakfast was typical. Tea and coffee available also. As far as small maintenance issues I noticed, room 207 has a tile in the bathroom floor that needs repaired - it can pinch little feet if stepped on wrong. Caulk around the tile in the tub, a small corner of wallpaper peeling up in that bathroom and the carpet in the bedroom is pulling up and wrinkling in the middle - I can only assume from lots of vacuuming. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Everyone was friendly and courteous and things were clean. Those are most impt to us.

This was a beautiful property with plenty of room for our family of 5 to stretch out. They beds were pretty hard. The breakfast was great and the staff was so friendly and above and beyond helpful!

The night attendant was the rudest I have ever come across. It was absolutely embarrassing and insulting the way he treated me. For a Marriott I never expected, I paid for a last minute pass through stay. When I arrived there was no record of payment from Hotels.com so he told me to call them that if I didn’t like it I could Stay somewhere else and he would cancel my reservation ! I was so taken back I was speechless. Regardless if the payment was there and if there was an error on either side. At this point it’s not an issue of blame, it’s how I was treated, I paid . I tried to show him he wasn’t interested. The lack of effort to just try to help, was not there: mind you I had 3 kids in the car and it was almost midnight. I went to 3 other hotels and found a room. They knew of this person and said he was insupportable.

Very clean, comfortable, friendly staff and close to my family! Breakfast was very nice, scrambled eggs, toast, bagels, yogurt, sausage, bacon waffles, muffins, etc.

Wonderful stay. Pool was great for our kids, and the bar was relaxing for us that night. The only thing I would suggest, is to have the live sports games at the bar!

The hallways smelled so good. Gabe was nice and friendly at check in. Breakfast bar lady made my waffle since it’s been a while for me. Very sweet lady. The side entry door was a little scary at how hard it shuts with that metal. I don’t have children but that could be dangerous for small kids by that door with the high Texas winds too. We felt so comfortable in our room! It was clean cool and comfy.

We try to always stay at SpringHill Suites when visiting San Angelo. It is always clean and family friendly. We never take advantage, but it’s one of the few places with a bar. Their breakfast is always delicious and a good assortment for picky eaters as well. The rooms are spacious and comfortable for our family of 5 (suite with 2 queens and couch).

The family and I arrived late at night (11pm). Didn’t feel very welcomed (at first) as I checked in. The man who was attending the front desk was very sarcastic and not very friendly. I checked in nonetheless as we were tired after a 6.5 hour trip, and we went up to the room. The room was very spacious, clean and I particularly loved that the shower was apart from the restroom. The only odd thing for us was that there was no lock on either door. My son slept on the couch. He claims it was very comfy, but even it is advertised as a sofa bed, there are no extra pillows or covers to accommodate a guest to sleep on the couch. The beds were very comfy. Overall, we did have a pleasant stay. Well enough to stay again. The breakfast was ok, wish they had pancakes, but still had a good variety of breakfast foods. The attendant t check out was very nice and friendly! Definitely made up for the sour check in. Overall, I would rate 8/10.

Very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Rooms have plenty of space for big family. Nothing to dislike.
