there was a misunderstanding on room type reservation- i thought i reserved a 2-queen beds suite with a pull out sofa bed, ref and microwave. come to find out the room reserved was only a standard room of 2 queen beds. i ended up upgrading room typecto accommodate family needs. the staff/receptionist during check in was awesomely very helpful and accommodating. we are very appreciative of her kind accommodation.

The inital room that we were put in was dirty. Trash, crumbs everywhere. The chairs where put in the middle of the room between the beds like someone had been watch television. I went back the front desk and the young man profusly apologized and put us in a clean room. He stated that the computer system had been messed up. He stated that it had happened several times. We have a family Renuion once every 2 years and this is our families go to. I doubt we return next year. The entire hotel had a "damp smell" and cigarettes in the pool.

The room was good and so was the breakfast! Had some family business to take care of and a bay to go see. The La Quinta of Port Lavaca was a great place to spend a couple of nights.

No ac- they knew and still gave me that room with 90-100 temps and small kids. We were stuck in a sauna. They were nice about it and Expedia gave us a refund but it was a night from hell not a vacation night like we planned.

Very clean room and common areas. The room wasn’t fancy, but it had all of the needed amenities. Microwave, refrigerator, TV, internet. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back! Breakfast was good too. Pretty good variety. Nice, family friendly beach access less than a mile away. Fishing pier, play area on the beach, separate play area and splash pad a few hundred feet away on concrete.
