Highly recommend this location! The Front Desk attendant was so welcoming upon check in and the their hotel mascot Shadow is absolutely adorable. The beds are comfy, rooms are clean and their morning breakfast was perfection. The hotel clerk in the breakfast area was so kind, he made my daughter the best tasting Texas waffle ever. He was so courteous and made us feel right at home. The premises is very beautiful and country chic! Plenty of areas to sit back and relax and enjoy nature in their pool and patio areas. Stop by this little gem! It’s close to all the shopping and restaurants. We went for a family funeral and this spot was just what we needed. Thank you so much from McAllen Texas!

Staff is amazing, very courteous and accommodating. My family and friends all stay at this hotel many times a year because it is close to the 2 best drag strips in texas. With secure parking for trailers, it is a no brainer to eliminate the worry of someone stealing my racing operation!!

This facility is family owned and operated. Very nice. Best place we have stayed so far. Awesome breakfast and very friendly American staff.

It’s an older hotel but very well maintained!! Bed was extremely comfortable and water pressures was phenomenal!! Pool was perfect!! The only thing I wished they had was a small gym. We stay here every time we come to Ennis to visit family. We’ll definitely keep this place as our go to when we’re in town. Thanks!!

Family owned, family run hotel. Owner was very hands on with the hotel. He has been running it for 38 years. We enjoyed our stay. They have the best waffles!

Upon entering our room, we placed our luggage in the bathtub while we checked for bed bugs and wiped everything down with sanitary wipes, our usual customary procedure when staying in any hotel. Conclusion: The room and bathroom were so clean, we told housekeeping we didn't need any cleaning done the next day, just fresh towels. The water pressure was adequate and the shower head adjustments all worked. The tasty breakfast included waffles, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, hot and cold cereal, bananas, apples, assorted juices, homemade breakfast rolls, toast, hot/cold cereal, regular/decaf coffee and tea. Service was excellent and newspapers were stacked and available for diners. The outside pool was clean and big enough to swim laps. There were no shade trees or awning, but the three tables included umbrellas. The hot tub was partly disabled, with just one massage jet working. We notified the desk clerk, who immediately came out to take a look. Together we got another jet working, which was enough for me and my wife. The next morning the hot tub was working full force with all four massage jets functioning properly. This hotel has beautiful landscaping all around plus a phenomenal live oak tree with low arching limbs near the deck adjacent to the breakfast area. The landscaper has strung lights on it, and you can sit out there at night and enjoy a cold drink. The friendly staff includes family members who take pride in their business. We highly recommend this hotel!

The original owners of this Inn still run the show after 30+years, and they have managed to create a quiet oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle. They gave our family of 6 such kind attention. The room and pool were immaculate, and the breakfast was good. Mainly, we felt genuinely welcomed here- like a stay at grandma’s house. Nothing fancy. Just peaceful. We hope to go back!

Our second time staying here. Nice clean hotel about 10 minutes from family we visit every year.Will stay here again next year.
