La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Eastland

Our room was nice and clean. The hash browns at breakfast was under cooked. The were mushy and under cooked. The indoor pool was ice cold. It was like swimming in a glass of ice water. Since the pool was so cold the hot was full of kids. You couldn't relax cause the kids were swim. There was no towels in the pool area. In the exercise room the tridmill was out of order.

I liked the rooms they were big and we got the suit so the kids has their own area. We were pretty irritated about the pool not working thought. Thats the main reason we stayed there, the first night it was open but it was freezing, and the second day it was completely closed due to maintenance.

By far the best place to stay in Eastland! The indoor pool is a big plus for our grandkids.

We stay here every two years for our family reunion. It's not a terrible place to stay. It's always clean and doesn't stink. However the bathrooms in the rooms could use some updating and maybe wipe down the walls and doors in the bathrooms.

Our checkout lady had a small baby who was well behaved and I appreciated the fact she could work in that circumstance.I was consulting with this town and one of the top three issues among involved lack of or affordable child care services for women to work. Maybe it only works in small communities than a Dallas Hilton but necessary with the work force issues in small towns. She extended us a late check out and was well dressed and courteous. 5Star for this allowance.

The stay was really good . No issues besides kids running in the room above us . No big deal though , they were not bothering us .

The trio was a family trip , just an overnighted .

The staff was great. The hotel needs some maintenance. The back entrance security lock had been disabled, so the door didn't lock at all. The lock requiring a room key for access had been pried out. Absolute security risk. Looks like it had been like that for a while. The refrigerator in my room was so loud I had to unplug it and not use it. The TV had to reset each time it was turned on. The shower's Hot and Cold indicators were reversed, which could pose a safety threat with kids. The walls had a sticky spotted residue where it looked like someone had spilled coffee or soda on it. The carpet had obvious spills that looked like a cursory shampooing would lift up. Having said that, my room on the back of the hotel was relatively quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was great. It was fine, and with a few updates and a good deep clean could be better than fine.
