Hilton Garden Inn Denison/Sherman/At Texoma Event Center

We travel in hotels monthly and this was the first time ever that as a family of four with 2 queen beds we could not have even 2 extra pillows. The AC screeched all not long and one of my children did not sleep that night. Plumbing was bad, no drain on tub so my children could not take a bath. No conditioner in dispenser, enough soap for 1 persons shower. Tried to go to the market for snacks for my kids and it was almost completely empty. Bought a microwave mac and cheese for my daughter and asked for a fork and was told "We don't have any." For $160 this is extremely disappointing. Will never stay at any Hilton Garden Inn again.

This hotel is in a decent location co-located next to some family friendly establishments for fun. The beds are hard though. We had an okay experience. The first room we went to smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. The 2nd room we were placed in was ok. The beds were hard and not comfortable. The pillows were very worn out and didn't have any support. The hotel staff forgot to change our reservation to the 2nd room we were given after the 1st due to the smoke smell. Someone was given our room number by mistake and tried to enter the room several times. Luckily we had the deadbolt closed. Then the hotel staff tried to enter our room forgetting they put us into that room and questioned me about the move. Then there were some loud kids on the floor below who thought it would be a good idea to try and kick some doors. We weren't offered anything for our troubles. Not sure I would stay here again honestly. Stay at your own risk and understand this hotel is overpriced for what you get.

My family of 3 had contact with staff three different occasions and all were unpleasant. They were either, disgruntled, rude, or putting my wife in the middle of a dispute between a breakfast waiter(who almost forced her to have potatoes ) and desk clerk! We were already exhausted from the short notice travel, and devastated by the untimely death of my Uncle Joe Rushing. I was shocked, considering all the nice things Joe and Beverly Rushing have said about that particular location. Disappointed to say the very least. Rooms were nice, and the property was great.
