We'vd use this property for Christmas travel many years. We really like the grill area because we get together there with family. That's a BIG plus for us. The rooms need improvments: bed and sofa need to be updated. I don't agree with the "make room per request". It started with COVID but I don't like the fact that is permanent now.

Did not meet quality expectations of other Holiday Inn Express locations I’ve stayed in. This hotel was old, which is not a bad thing at all, but it was poorly renovated. The ice machines did not have scoopers, the cabinets stuck, and the water had a sewage smell. The staff were very friendly and the bed was comfortable. The hotel attracted families and people visiting for leisure and business, so it was very safe. It is a shame that The Holiday Inn Express slapped their name on this, though. This is barely a step up from a local motel.

The hotel could use some new carpet maybe there was an old musty smell, but it was very clean otherwise. The breakfast was good. For the price Of the room and being Brownsville, it was acceptable. We have stayed at this hotel before to visit family.
