Wyndham Garden Hotel Austin

Our lease was up at our apartment, but we haven’t yet closed on our new home. Our family and furry family stayed at &LaQuinta North Austin and it has been wonderful! The breakfasts have been varied and nice and fresh hot and cold options. The pool and hot tub have been incredible to cool off in the day and relax at night. The staff has been very friendly, helpful and accommodating, even letting my son’s medical shipment to be delivered to the hotel for our convenience. Great stay! Made our stressful few last weeks before moving into our new home much more pleasant than we thought it would be. Thank you!

My room was very comfortable, both bed and lounge chair. The bathroom was very clean and well appointed. No problem with the shower, very hot water. Good mini fridge and coffee maker. TV quality was good and selections were adequate. Internet service was excellent, hardwired, not sure about WiFi service. I didn’t need it. Perfectly designed for business. I would not recommend the room I had, single king, for a family. I’m sure the hotel has rooms better configured for families. The hotel restaurant could have better hours and vending machines would be nice. The only snacks must be purchased at the front desk. $$ Overall, I would stay there again for $89 per night.

My family and I experienced theft first hand-Keep your valuables with you at all times.

The front desk staff and cleaning staff were very friendly, but the bar staff barely looked at you and seemed annoyed you were there. Room was clean, but toilet never flushed correctly. The coffee maker in the room spit out hot water and steam directly at you when it was finished~would have been dangerous for a child. The water system in the bathroom went from cold to scalding hot with no in-between, again being dangerous for a child. Beware of their early online check-in. I did that, and when I went to the desk to get my room key, the person checked me in again. That caused my card to have TWO holds on it for the entire cost of a 4 night stay. The manager was very nice and apologetic, but there was nothing that could be done because it was a hold and not an actual charge. It eventually worked itself out, but a chunk of my vacation money was unavailable until I got back home. 😥

Area was nice and walking into hotel was nice but soon as we walked in our room, we immediately smelled mold. We looked in the shower and there was the mold. The water in the shower was way to hot, it was either way to hot or ice cold, there was no in between. We had small children with us. I end up having to just wash them up in the sink.The bedding had stains on it. After a long day in town our babies was to tired for us to find another hotel. We will not be staying at this hotel again,

I would like to say the staff at the hotel were amazing and very helpful. No issues with the staff. When booking this reservation was under the impression this was a Wyndham hotel but it is family owned franchise. Very old building they were still renovating. Bar had barely been open for one day and still not able to print your receipt. The pool and hot tub have not been cleaned and had bugs, leaves and algea / mold. Hot tub was not in working order and colder than the pool. Lots of cracks and holes throughout the hotel. Bathrooms were very outdated and the shower head barely worked. The water was either super cold or scolding hot. Was told breakfast was 6-10 every morning and then when arriving at 6:30 was told they don’t open till 7 am. No complementary breakfast which was told in the website.

Room was relatively clean except for hair balls on the floor behind the bathroom door. Room was only provided with 2 towels for 3 people staying. Had to get more towels from staff each day. Shower spray was very strong. Very hard to get right so my family could shower. Wifi in the fitness room was sketchy so difficult to watch our phones while we worked out. Glad they were close to the airport and easy to get into downtown Austin.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool area is very big and pretty, and my kids enjoyed a lot of time out there

Absolutely recommend this property!! The price and location you can’t beat, the breakfast was great for both my husband and three small children. There was something for each of us to enjoy. The pool was great and the facility was extremely clean!!

Our family enjoyed our stay. The staff was excellent. The pool was shut down due to the city of Austin not being prompt on a needed approval of renovations required and completes by hotel. But, we all enjoyed our stay still.
