The room was expensive for the size. The WiFi in the rooms was spotty at best. It seemed that something was blocking our 5G when we took the phones off WiFi. There is not guest laundry so not a good place for longer term travelers. There was also no breakfast provided. If you have small kids, they won’t understand only $5 pastries are available. We actually had bought food from the HEB for breakfast. Not ideal.

The room itself was really good, nice size and great condition. Pool is fine, though not heated and very dimly lit at night. My biggest disappointment was from the confusion over the parking situation (is it free? is it paid? I'm still not even sure) and the pathetic breakfast offerings. Google/yelp/etc show that the top-floor Meridian restaurant has a breakfast buffet, but seems that was cancelled during covid and never returned. Personally, with kids, having a good sit-down breakfast on-site is one of my top-most priorities, and this hotel just didn't fit that bill.

We always stay at Sonesta Bee Cave when we come to Austin to visit family. The deck is so big and the beautiful hills and sunset are amazing to view. Plus the bar staff are always so friendly.

We were in town to visit family so we spent very little time in our room but the room and bathroom were satisfactory. We didn't discover the coffee maker until the last morning we stayed there but that was the only complaint I had (no way to heat water) and then it turns out you just had to look a little harder. The staff was very accommodating about an early check-in and a late check-out so that was wonderful. Hotels rarely have soft drink vending machines on the floor which I think is a shame but the vending area next to the front desk was fairly well stocked - no lemon-lime soft drink or ginger ale but it didn't detract from the stay. The beds were very comfortable and the TV had a lot of channels we liked. We would stay there again.

Checking in was easy. Having to pay a $15 a day fee to park my car was not only unexpected but it was a new ridiculous fee that sadly tainted my stay. The Hotel was very clean and the bed with its multiple choices of pillows was very comfortable. I had stayed at this hotel a few times in the past as my family lives close by but this unfortunately will be my last time staying here specifically and totally due to the added fee to park. There is a free parking garage across the street and as the 6 outside parking spots were blocked with cones there is no parking close to the hotel if it is raining.
