Staybridge Suites Chattanooga Downtown - Convention Center, an IHG Hotel

I had high hopes for my stay at this facility especially after some peoples reviews were great. We had issues with dirty linens, not stocked rooms, broken ice maker, hair dryer and pull out bed, and also expired food during breakfast. Brought the attention to the front desk on day 2 and maintenance was told to come which they never did even after I had a family member stay in the room from 10 am to 5:30 pm. Found a pillowcase on our first night with blood on it-completely unwashed. Breakfast was good until the milk was ruined eating cereal. Just all around everything was bad.

Overall it was a great fit for our family (2 adults, 3 kids). The area around it is a little run down but up and coming with alot of renovations and new builds close by. The hotel is within walking distance 0.5-1mile of all the good attractions. The breakfast was substantial (eggs, bacon/sausage, toast/bagel, limited fruit, potatoes, yogurt/cereal). The room and hallway floors could have been cleaner, but overall it was great.

The suits were a little dated, kinda awkward layout in the bedrooms.. narrow path to the bathroom. Husband said it hotel smelled kinda musky on the second floor… BUT our kids loved the pool and the free breakfast. We will stay again. Can’t beat the customer service and price point!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. After driving 12 hours and arriving close to 11 pm, everyone was exhausted and ready to sleep. As we went to fall into bed, I noticed hair all over the sheets which had not been changed. Additionally, there was makeup on my pillowcase. GROSS. I went to use the restroom and the toilet hadn’t been cleaned and there was hair wiped on the shower wall still. I could not believe that Expedia had this place rated with four stars. My kids room was not much better. The AC did not work and the carpets looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. My advice is for everyone to avoid this place. I wish I had demanded a refund and kept driving through the night instead.

I had had a really good experience with this hotel in Indiana and that was the main reason we chose it again as a family in Chattanooga. The property at first glance is very nice, the pool and gym were very nice as well. We liked the room as well but we were disappointed that there was hair in the bathtub and there was no shampoo, conditioner or body wash, however, the problems were corrected almost immediately by the nice staff. This inconvenience could’ve been prevented.

The hotel was ok but thats about it. The bed was very uncomfortable, the TV remote was a pain to turn on and off in the living area, it took the shower a long time to heat up, and we never got a chance to use the heated pool and spa as there were a bunch of wild kids in them both times we tried to use them.

Really great place to stay and walk to the aquarium, children's museum and restaurants. Very clean and a safe area. When they say check in is at 3p.... they mean not even the electronic part where you sign papers and confirm payment. We got there at 2:35 and there was 2 other families waiting. At EXACTLTY 3p, we all lined up and checked in. Another weird thing is that you can't call down to the desk and request they bring you linen. House keeping didn't come. But when i called and asked for a blanket, they told us to come get it from the front desk. Both encounters were friendly but odd.

Two bedroom suite was perfect for my family trip to chattanooga

The hallways smelled very bad of old smoke and pets. Very outdated rooms and bathrooms. Suites were very small and not much room to move around or put luggage with 2 adults and 3 kids in a suite. Room had 1 bath towel. No towels in pool area. Difficult to get ahold of anyone at front desk by phone or in person, no one was ever there.
