This place is AMAZING for families. We booked because it was close to my triathlon site. It was clean with very friendly staff :) Lots of families so kids running all around being loud , and having so much fun!! Was worried I wouldn’t get sleep for my triathlon. All was quiet around 9pm. Wish we had just been on vacation to enjoy property more. Bonus, girl at front desk was caring for the cutest tiniest kitten.

I left in the morning for a family graduation party and returned later in the evening to find my door left open. Apparently house keeping had not pulled the door closed after leaving towels. I did go down to the front desk immediately after making sure my belongings were still in the room. I definitely was extremely disappointed for a first time visit.

This isn’t a resort or hotel for the public and shouldn’t be advertised as so, in reality it’s a wasp club for certain individuals with under the table paid security and other things at their call who really run this place. If you’re a regular person, it’s anything but restful and relaxing. Women and children are not safe here.

I have nothing bad to say whatsoever. I needed a hotel for one night for a family funeral and this fit the spot. It was clean and comfortable; staff was very friendly. I didn’t get to enjoy the amenities, but they all looked very nice

For this being a college town hotel it was absolutely peaceful and beautiful. I would highly recommend this to everyone, including families. The room was exceptionally clean. I was very impressed.

Beautiful and clean facility. My daughter is a junior at Clemson and this is the first time I’ve stayed at Lakeside Lodge. It is now my favorite lodging and will be my go to in the future.

We always choose Lakeside Lodge while visiting our children at Clemson. It is beautiful, great amenities and so clean. No other hotel even comes close!

The amenities in the common areas were nice (pool, lobby, lounge). Unfortunately there were numerous issues with the room. The carpets were damp and the water soaked up into my socks, there were drain flies in the room, the soap, shampoo, & conditioner were all empty, you could not deadbolt the door because the hardware was installed incorrectly, and when I called to complain the phone in the room did not work. I walked to the lobby to complain and they did start to look for another room. I refused as I was only there for one night, it was late, and one of my kids was already asleep. They sent security by to refill my shower containers, but otherwise no compensation was offered.
