La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Florence

The check in guy was very nice. The breakfast was delish, sausage gravy, biscuits, breads, yogurt, eggs, grits, waffles,etc.. There was something for everyone. The pool was spotless. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The staff was top notch. As we have family in Ga. now, we’ll be driving 95 quite a bit. We’ll remember this place and stop by again.

rooms were not ready when we arrived after check in hours. first room toilet was blocked so we had to go down and change rooms. around 9pm people above our room arrived and could hear luggages and people moving around very noisily. children were running around till past10:30 pm and i had to call frontdesk on my cell as house phone was dead. after 10 mins or so the noise died down. it was convenient and had dining options around. there was no body lotion even in the room. anyway it was okay just to sleep in for a night.

We drove with the children from New York to Florida. And we decided to stay there for the night. I looked for hotels that were just clean, I read reviews. There were good reviews here. But I was very disappointed. Sorry I didn't take a photo. There were other people's hairs in the bathroom, on the drain, there were a lot of them. There was also dust all over the room and a few hairs were in the bed, also the top of the bedspread was dirty in places, I don't mean stains, just as if someone had stepped on, leaving small mark in 2 places. I'm very disappointed. Although the staff were all very kind!

Room was dirty did not smell right. The bathroom shower had mold on it, terrible experience. The walls are made of paper you can hear everything around your room, the shower/bathroom next to you, kids crying, the hallway. I will never go back.

We did not get the hotel room type we booked. The guy said the hotel doesn’t even have the room Expedia advertised. Our family of five had two queen beds to share rather then the two queens and pullout we reserved.

I came in at 11pm from driving 9 hours with 3 children under 10. I was told the room I had reserved had a no TV. I asked for another room but was told there were none. I went up to the room and it smelled if cologne and cigarettes. There was urine in the toilet. The a/c was broken open. The bed was partially made. I open the sofa bed and there were no sheets, the mattress was a piece of foam and the cover had stains all over. I gathered my family and left as fast as I could. Disgusting. Shame on Expedia rating this an 8. Shane on la Quinta allowing their name on this property.

My husband and I stayed twice over the course of about 10 days while traveling to and from visiting family. Both times the check in staff were very friendly-i believe they were training new team members both time and the second trip the manager even remembered us, which was nice. The place is a little outdated, the pool is small and shallow (but fits the need to just chill out) and maybe over all could use some updates. But it was clean and quiet! For the cost and length of time we stayed, it fit our needs. We stayed on the first floor during the weekend and mid week and neither time was it loud or so disturbing we couldnt sleep. My only complaint is that the parking when they are busy isnt great. The lot has limited spaces near the building with more in the rear lot where the bigger trucks park. So if you grab a spot and want to keep it, stay put.

That’s convenient when you are traveling with kids. Nice breakfast

We arrived around 9pm after driving 10 hours to a dirty room. We slept with our own blankets and couldn’t argue because we had 3 kids with us getting there at 9pm and having to leave at 6am. I called Expedia next day and hotel wouldn’t issue refund. Don’t stay here.

We were so thankful that this hotel had a stay option that kept my family of 8 together (2 adults, 4 kids, a toddler in a playpen, and a baby...in a drawer...).
