Our stay was not about fun or work but about our 14 month old granddaughter battling brain cancer . We live 5 .5 hours away from childrens hospital of Philadelphia. We needed a place to stay to relieve our son and daughter in law from their around the clock care . It was so nice to come back to a very clean friendly environment after a day at the hospital . You should proud of your employees ! They do their jobs well and are very friendly . When she come back to Philly in a couple of weeks we will be stay at your hotel again !!

It was in a beautiful area of Philly and convenient and close for those parents and family members of patients at nearby hospitals. Downside was many of the doors on our floor were missing card reader covers. Our room had a crack near the lock on the inside and a cigarette burn on the bedside table, in a non smoking room

The reason I'm giving this 1 star is because the hotel tried to trick me into canceling my reservation, which I had made via Expedia more than two months prior to the trip (and my reservation jad been confirmed.) A week before arrival, Ryan, who claimed to be a manager at the hotel, told me the hotel could not accommodate me for the first of the four nights I had booked. When questioned why he waited until a week before arrival, he responded that it's better than calling a day before arrival. He also said he couldn't get in touch with Expedia. Hence, he reached out to me directly, asking me to decide whether to cancel or shorten my trip to a 3 night stay. (My booking was for the 25th -29th of December.) Fast forward, I spoke with Expedia. They contacted the lobby at the hotel. It was confirmed that the hotel can accommodate me for the entire four nights. All in all, it was a baffling, frustrating, and confusing experience. I went ahead with the stay. After check in a confirmed with the front desk if Ryan indeed works at the hotel and was told that he's the assistant manager. I was also informed that the hotel was fully booked for the 24th and the following days. They: 'were trying to re-arrange some things ...' If you're traveling with small kids, the pool and hot tub are nice, but the hotel can not accommodate small children very well (I inquired about a bathrobe and a step stool; they don't have either.) Housekeeping is hit or miss. Unfortunately ours was mostly miss.

My husband and I came to to town for an emergency prenatal procedure for our 17 wk twin pregnancy. Everything about the facility was nice and easy and worked well for our needs. The receptionists were nice and friendly, the rooms were fine. We weren't there for a luxury vacation we were there to sleep and be at the hospital. We booked through Expedia as they had the best rate (better then the rate the hotel was willing to agree to for families visiting the hospital $140 versus $160) and saving money during this time is important to us. We booked for two nights and planned to extend our stay as needed. After our first night we had our doctors visit which showed to heart beat for either twin. We left after finding out this news. I contacted expedia who contacted the hotel, hoping they would offer a refund given the extentuating circumstances. The hotel refused to make an exception to the no refund policy they hold with Expedia. Expedia informed me that even after talking to the hotel, and explaining the situation, the decision was made to deny my request. I understand what nonrefundable means but I do believe there are exceptions to the rule. I write this review so that others who are coming to town to access live saving services from Children's Hospital consider the choices this hotel makes.

My family loved how the hotel is within walking distance to so much - restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacy. The staff were very friendly as well. The only complaints we had were that there are no fans in the bathrooms - can get pretty stuffy. There were no hand towels, or washcloths in our room. My daughters got stuck on the elevator, so more frequent elevator maintenance is needed. There really isn't any parking, so you almost have to use the valet, which isn't free of course. One other thing that was quite a surprise to me, was that $250 is held for incidentals. I've never had that much held for that purpose, and my bank account was not prepared, especially since I was paying for two rooms.

I have been a loyal Hilton fan and never had a complaint. . .until now. Upon check-in, we kearned the pool was closed. It disappointed the three children but things happen. The room: there was a used filter in the coffee maker; a used washcloth in the shower; something orange sorayed up the drapes (it wiped off easily); and the sofa bed was full of crumbs. I went to the front desk and notified the clerk who was very apologetic and said she was going to refund me some $. I asked for clean bedding as i could not trust it had been changed. We wiped the room down with clorox wipes snd changed the beds ourselves. The property in general is beautiful. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful and the woman who was working that morning was top notch. The clerk who checked us out was nit interested in my exoerience. To top it all off. . .i had already booked and paid through Expedia. I was charged again!!!. Since my visit on July 18-19th i have been trying to get this resolved. Hilton promised a return call eithin 3 days. . .still nothing.

I specifically booked for the pool and it was out of order the whole stay. Disappointing for the kids after a hot day out. Paper products used at breakfast because dishwasher was broken. Microwave in room broken couldn’t heat up dinner. The manager was helpful and made good on the inconvenience and the valet guys were excellent, never waited long for my car

Overall it’s a nice property and convenient to Penn. The staff were very nice and friendly. However, not at all flexible. I had 3 rooms for 3 nights. I wanted a 2 hour late checkout on just one room. 2 pm versus 12 noon. They wouldn’t do it past 1 pm. Said it would add another day. I’m sure it’s policy, but we are talking about one additional hour after I’ve paid for 9 room nights. fHousekeeping was also pretty poor - first day they didn’t come at all, second day was hard to tell if they came at all. They threw an additional hand towel on the rack in the bathroom. In my kids room, they took the soap out of shower and didn’t replace it.
