Holiday Inn Express Bloomsburg, an IHG Hotel

Upon check in we were so happily greeted by the most gracious young lady who was folding towels as well as welcoming guests and covering the desk! Her name if I recall was Alicia or Alexis, definately an A name. What a wonderful ambassador for cheer, kindness and positive welcoming expression, this young lady even offered to make us fresh de-calf coffee after a long day at the local amusement resort! Fresh! She is just a doll. Our room was well chilled, clean as a whistle and the housekeeping staff did a fabulous job making the comfortable beds with military precision! Bountiful clean towels were available and we all agree the supplied toilettries were a great touch. We had a wonderful stay. Each employee we encountered while there enjoying breakfast the next morning were friendly, efficient and so pleasant, we have all decided this is our new spot when we travel to Bloomsburg , we will so be back!!!!!! They do the IGH family proud!!!!! Truely

They were SUPER adamant that you have zero food or drink at the pool. I was watching my kids and saw them give an old guy a hard time for having a water bottle with him.

This place was spotless! I am also very picky. The beds are so comfortable I slept like a baby! The front staff was amazing! Check in and Check out! It was so nice to be treated so well when on vacation. Will stay here again and I travel a lot is this property should be proud of the outstanding service! Didn’t have a chance for breakfast because we were out each day early but I imagine it is top notch like everything else! One last thing , we only stayed two nights and they made up are beds and replaced to towels! Last 8 trips at other hotels that did not happen! Thank you for your hard work!

The night before, we stayed at a quailty inn and it was awful. Going forward we will go to Holiday Inn when visiting Bloomsburg PA. Holiday Inn felt warm and had a family environment. It was clean and on arrival our room looked and smelt clean. The free breakfast was probably the best I've had at any hotel. My kids LOVED the pool time.

We checked in on Saturday July 15th, and checked out Tuesday July 18th. After spending all day at Knoebels on Sunday, we returned to see that our room had not been tended to while we were away. Our dirty towels were still on the floor in a pile like I left them, our trash cans were in need of changing, and our beds were not made. When I went to the front desk for clean towels and new trash bags, I was told that housekeeping was short handed that day. Also, my children got the bathroom floor wet while bathing, so I dried the floor up with a towel and to my astonishment the towel was very dirty as a result. Needless to say, we remained in socks for the remainder of our stay. Lastly, when packing up to leave Tuesday morning I noticed black mold on the bathroom ceiling. This might explain why my family was congested and coughing during our stay. I'm sure I do not need to explain the health hazards associated with exposure to mold. This is definitely not the experience I'd expect from a company that boasts about their clean, well maintained rooms.

Everything about this hotel & the stay was wonderful. From the ease of finding it to the amenities at the hotel. Everything was super clean & well maintained. The ladies at the check in counter were super friendly and knowledgeable about the area & restaurants etc. The room was clean & spacious. The pool (the main reason my kids like to go to hotels) was wonderful. There were no towels as the people who had gotten there before us used the last of the clean ones however upon going to the front desk the ladies grabbed me some right away for my family and shortly restocked the shelf for the rest of the guests. I personally think this is a wonderful hotel. We will absolutely stay here again!

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Coffee was good. Breakfast was ok. Grandchildren had a great time in the pool.

Only reason for choosing this hotel was because there was a pool. Get to the hotel and was told the pool was out of service. There was no information stating that anywhere on the expedia site or the hotel site as well. Young family was disappointed because they were looking forward to the pool during one of the hottest stretches of the summer.

This stay was for a family get together. The hotel was ideally located for where we needed to get to. Overall, the hotel was very clean and would stay again if we were going to stay in the area.

We booked this hotel because of the pool and breakfast for my grand children I called 2 days before and was told the pool was open till 10 pm every night. We paid over 170.00 for this room and when we checked in the pool was closed till further notice. On a Holiday weekend. The receptionist said we could get a full refund, but thats not the case when booking with a third party like hotels.com. There were a lot of other motel/hotels in the area for a lot less without a pool. I called hotels.com but was waiting for over an hour and then hung up. We were stuck with a very expensive place to stay with no pool for the kids and no one would give us even a partial credit. Very Upset
