Had to shorten our original reservation to one night, due to a death in the family. Because of this, there was some confusion when we checked in. Kudos to Mandy, the Customer Service Manager, who took care of the problem and even upgraded our room because of the mixup! It was a beautiful room and a beautiful view of the sunset! This is the second time that we’ve stayed here and it will continue to be our choice when we visit Gettysburg!

Good location on the battlefield. Most (not all) of the decent restaurants are downtown, which is a bit of a walk. Good if you have kids because of the swimming pool.

I loved the location. Close to all the shops and restaurants. My only disappointment was the waffle maker wasn’t working due to a lack of batter. I hope they didn’t just put a sign there because there was a bus fu Of school kids. That by the way were very well behaved

Room was clean and bathroom was rather large. We loved the idea we could walk to get to great restaurants, ice cream and walking tours. Close to Gettysburg tourism building where you catch tours and buses to visit Gettysburg. We loved being able to walk for our favorite ice cream spot Mr. G’s and all the pubs had great food. The ghost tours were great also. This hotel is not luxurious but ver sufficient for a family wanting to enjoy the town of Gettysburg and the park.

This was not the hotels fault, we had an end room. On the opposite wall is where people go to smoke, and they are not quite, especially on a Saturday night of drinking. They stayed out there smoking, yelling, and talking for several hours. If you are a light sleeper, do not like to be disturbed, or have children, I do not recommend having a end room. The hotel and staff are wonderful, very clean and buffet was wonderful. Thank you

The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. It was nice to have coffee available 24/7. The breakfast was delicious and filling with different items available each day, including biscuits and sausage gravy, creamed chipped beef, scrambled eggs and small omelets, sausage patties and links, ham, waffles, French toast, muffins, cereal, yogurt, and fresh fruit (apples, bananas, and even fresh pineapple). The only negatives we experienced were with other guests, such as spilling food in the microwave and leaving the mess and lack of supervision with loud, boisterous children. The location was ideal for shopping and restaurants within walking distance.

5/27/23 We were waiting behind a family checking in to the Inn. As they left the desk The clerk looked over at us and gave "the eye-roll". Really!! As I walked up to the desk she failed to look up but rather abruptly stated "I'll be with you in a minute." Not at all cordial. No smile . I got the distinct impression I was bother!.No " have a nice stay" Notta! Sorry she was having a bad day but, You're in the service industry. Being pleasant, cordial ,welcoming and professional are essential skills of the hotel industry. Next time you're having a bad day.. suck it up buttercup.... Smile and don't take it out on your guests. Else you might find few guests returning! Morning clerk was was A on oint. Cudos to her. Breakfast was delish! Clean room , easy access to historical attractions. BUT. bathroom door in 534 needs to be fixed. Had to prop it open with trash bucket.
