Holiday Inn Portland Columbia Riverfront, an IHG hotel

Our family traveled down from the Everett area to Jantzen Beach for the Formula E race event. We decided to go with this hotel because it was closest to the track instead of staying with my parents south of Portland due to on going road closures for construction. At first sight the hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. However upon entering the room you could tell it had been hey, still he cleaned and put back. The bed was absolutely awful. It was like sleeping on an air mattress. And on our second night, State my husband Wolk to two quick gunshots outside of our hotel. There was a constant patrol of security all around the building, as well as just an overall dirty area with MANY homeless encampments near by. This hotel is way over priced for what they offer. Come to find out I could have stayed in the Vancouver Hilton for less. I won’t make that mistake twice.

Loved this hotel, had a Double Queen St with Balcony and it was super comfy, clean and pretty. Loved the marble bathroom. Had a bathtub for the kids. The kids loved the pool and they had poolside service (expensive but cool). Beautiful view of the Columbia

Rooms are clean and hotel is well maintained. The hotel lobby is good too and has many dining options. Overall a good option for families traveling to Portland.

Great hotel if out are traveling with your furry family members, the hotel is super clean and easy access for our pets to walk and exercise.

Our stay was perfectly comfortable. We had a double queen family suite. It was spacious with all the amenities. I will hopefully stay again soon.

Huge hotel , pool is overrun with kids , feels like you are walking blocks to get to an elevator or your room, if you are unlucky enough to get a freeway facing room that’s all you hear

We’ve stayed at the property before as it’s convenient to our family and destinations. This is the first time staying as the newly “updated” Holiday Inn. While it’s all very similar from the previous corporate ownership we had a sink handle break in the main bathroom of our room, and the drain clogged in the 2nd sink in the room. Otherwise the check-in was easy, staff friendly and the public spaces are tidy.

The check in was great. We arrived a little early because we would not return to the hotel until later after a family event. We got our keys and dropped off our luggage. We had a few minutes to relax. When we returned later that evening we didn’t have to worry about a late check in.

Very very thin walls/ doors. Was awakened way too early from kids running up and down the hall. Rooms were clean but condition was below average for the price. The pool was large surrounding area plenty of room and seating. Definitely not the cleanest, a lot of kids doing cannonballs splashing us adults. Wonderful view from balcony. The bathroom needs updated, tiles cracked and holes. Mostly enjoyed our stay.

I really enjoy this hotel during summer. Hotel is older. But it has a very nice pool. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. One thing is material finishes they used hide some things. I’ve always founds hair and dirt from others in my room. It’s like the housekeeping is just making beds and spot cleaning. This last stay I had thrown used towels on the bathroom floor. One of my kids dropped their toothbrush on the bathroom floor. They then grabbed towels and started wiping the floor down and the towel was black with dirt and hair. It was gross. We went to target and grabbed a new toothbrush and swiffer. The swiffer was disgusting to look at when I was done cleaning the floor. So I left it in the room. And the swiffer was stolen by the cleaning person. It’s was gross and annoying.
