The room was small for family of four. Doesn’t have table and chair to set.

We loved staying at the Hyatt Centric in Downtown Portland. The staff was incredibly accommodating to my family and me during last week's snow/ice storm. They were able to give us a room quickly and worked hard to accommodate us. While they were understaffed and openly recognized that, they put in extra special touches such as giving us a lot of free snacks to accommodate us and make us happy. I can confidently say that the staff here cares about their customers and that the hotel is very well run. I'd definitely recommend the Hyatt Centric in Downtown Portland as a great play to stay. You will be treated very well!

The staff were very friendly. They gave me great advice about how to navigate around Portland and tips to travel safely (I'm a single mom traveling alone with three children). I didn't like that it was valet parking only. They also have very limited spots to park while waiting for a valet to become available. I also had wished that they had more amenities like room service and round the clock shops for snacks and drinks.

Great place to stay. If you have a car be prepared to pay to park. I got a ride from family so not an issue. Tran line is right out front. Great area. Felt safe walking. Friendly, helpful staff. Very comfortable vibe. Awesome s'more shop close by for your sweet tooth!

In general nice property. Didn’t feel unsafe. Downtown is a wreck, but at least this block felt safe. Customer service , valet staff friendly and helpful. Ridiculous $52 a night parking fee especially when they know you aren’t going to feel safe parking your car anywhere else downtown. So be sure to work this into your costs if needed. We travel plenty and know this is typical for downtown major cities but this downtown is not for families so you probably won’t spend much time there if this is that type of trip for you. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but housekeeping could be better. Very inconsistent over the 5 nights of our stay.

Our trip was because a family member was in the hospital. The hotel offered everything we needed. And the staff was amazingly helpful.. and the food in the resturant was amazing as well as the drinks in the bar. Annie was amazing and so was Amy. Highly recommend

This place looks like a hip hotel but if hyatt had a red headed stepchild that they really did not love, id imagine this would be it. Having to go to the second floor to get filtered water or ice was a huge pain being on the 8th floor and the water wasn't even cold. My shower was filthy including this giant hair ball pictured below, and when I left my favorite shirt in my room after I left, instead of helping me secure it before the maids cleaned the room they let it get mixed in with the sheets and it is now lost forever. Let's not forget the noise from the train which made it difficult to get any rest and the 2 lumpy down pillows that I was expected to use for 4 nights. Now I understand why this place was on sale. It's a half ass version of the Hyatt brand so just know that's what you're getting when you stay. I won't be coming back that's for sure..

The hotel itself was nice. However, there was very limited dining and no room service. Downtown Portland closes early and there are very few easy or opened places to dine. You don't want to walk to far at night because downtown looks pretty beat up and dark. Driving downtown is hard and very little parking. The parking meters didn't work in the two spots I did park. Many restaurants and coffee places are closed permanently. I loved the Portland overall but walking around downtown was not fun or easy. I really hope the downtown makes it back to what people say it used to be. Guests need to be advised though when they are booking a room. Especially with kids.
