Beautiful hotel with extremely kind employees. Everyone made us feel very welcome. Our ONLY complaint was the bedding. The pillows were horrible and hard and the sheets! All three of us had a hard time sleeping. The sheets were so scratchy they were actually loud. When one would roll over it would wake the other up from the noise of the sheets. One of my kids slept in his clothes to avoid touching them and I contemplated using a towel as a blanket but they were all wet from showering. We travel to other states/internationally multiple times a year and this was by far the the worst bedding we have experienced.

Traveled with a family of 4, chose this property because it had high reviews and rated 4.5 stars. Arriving, my wife and I had our hands full with 2 strollers & a suit case. FrontDoor didn’t even bother offering to help open the door for us. Why pay a resort fee? Checking in, older employee says whole building AC is down & he’s having a hard time finding a room for us, completely booked & don’t have options then says he found one that has a window we can open & makes a weird comment about hoping our kids don’t fall out. He proceeded to rush us, didn't offer water or inform of their free bike service hotel has. In the room it did not look anything like pictures provided, the room was DIRTY. The bed had a big nasty stain that looked like blood? left over food & dirty water coming out of the coffee maker. The room was HOT, hard to sleep. Did we even receive the premium room we paid for? Stepped out a little after checking in to get my family some water & I felt like the service provided did not seem normal because we were a minority from the other guests coming in, Hung around the Lobby & same older employee never mentioned any AC issue with the other guests, offered/provided water & informed of their bike service the hotel offers. I checked the availability of the rooms all day & night, rooms available for same we had & MORE on the upgraded rooms. 4.5 Star Hotel? Reviews don’t look real, most of the verified reviews are negative & shared same experience we had.

From start to finish all the staff from front desk check in to housekeeping were amazing! Very VIP experience. Upgraded to a suite at checkin and the room.was even more amazing. Spacious and had a pull out bed for our kids. The bathroom was bigger than most NY bedrooms with a shower and soaking tub. The hotel is right near everything within waling distance grom the art museum, restaraunts and shopping. Pioneer square is one blcok away. Saturday market and voodoo donuts 10-15 min walk. Chinese gardens nearby. Restaraunt was really good on property and they do take out to bring upnl to your room. They had $15 vouchers for each day to use at the restaunt (Adler). Cant go wrong. Will be staying here again our next visit.

The stay was amazing but the room wasn’t that clean. The floor had a bunch of dog hair in it and when the sun shined through there was a layer of dust on everything so I wiped it down. Also there wasn’t a microwave which was hard because I have a kid with dietary issues so it was hard to cook their food. Bed was comfy, staff was nice and valet was a nice touch. Also if you’re going to give someone a bottled water that requires a bottle opener you may want to add one to the room.

Highly recommend, in fact we liked our stay so much this will be our go-to for when we travel to Portland and I've already told family and friends about it. The area is safe, clean, and walkable. We stayed for leisure and walked everywhere we wanted to go without concern. The building is beautiful and well-maintained and the staff were so kind and responsive.

The room was fine. The front desk was great. Saved the trip. On Saturday, July17th, i called for my car at 928am. it arrived at the hotel at 11am. 1.5 hours to get my card from valet? Never in my life. Not even in NYC. I'm divorced and have work in Portland. My children live there. I was supposed to pick up my kids at 10am. I got there at 1130am. My x-wife was livid. My kids were not happy t hat we missed the event. Why? as a result, they gave me valet for both nights but that doesnt matter. I come to portland 1+ a month for work and see my kids. Lots of hotels downtown. That was the first and last time i stay there.
