Clarion Inn Ontario

The man at the desk was awesome and most helpful with everything! We are enjoying all of you the excellent amenities and will definitely recommend this Holiday Inn to family and friends.

This hotel was recently renovated. The rooms were clean, smelled nice and was comfy. The only downside of this property is that it has signs for directions to an elevator but there is no elevator (as stated by front desk staff). We had to carry our bags up to the 2nd floor which was pretty cumbersome since we had 3 bags and a baby in tow. I would have rather stayed at the Holiday Inn Express across the street due to this hassle and mislabeling.

Pulling up to the property, it looked very rundown- appeared as if they had long term occupants and or prostitutes! I would have driven away had I not booked on line - no cancelation refund. Self talk "do it. It's not going to be as bad as I think. Deep breath!" Well... deep breath of stale air and cigarette odor. WOW If this were a fragrance I would call it "old school Las Vegas". I was addressed, not welcomed, by the concierge - RUDE! - in the form of not welcoming, not informative, not happy and just shouldn't represent a clean and thoughtful hotel. Oh, wait, she is perfect then. No elevator, that I could find, though I had to find everything on my own. The room was dirty, dirty, dirty. The coffee pot covered in dust, the drapes falling off the wall, the patio doors covered in cobwebs and filth - wasn't able to enjoy the balcony because I was too afraid to trek though the filth. So much mold in the bathroom. Surprisingly the pool was open during COVID? The grounds were dirty and the chairs were covered in dirt and cigarette burns, butt (but) my daughter did swim for a bit, until the leaves and garbage throughout the water proved too much even for a child to endure. Overall - the only thing that was pleasant, hmmmm.... oh! the painting on the wall, of flowers in vases and tea cups. The painting made no sense - tea cups? Yet it was pleasant. Good air conditioning. Overall - disappointing face emoji.
