Excellent for a mid-price hotel/resort directly across the street from beach. Clean, comfortable, updated indoors (exterior could use a bit). Very good spacious indoor pool area with windows to beach for the kids which was our main purpose for the stay. Hot tub that kids are allowed in also. Dinner at Sea Glass Bistro on the patio with on-table fire pit and beach view was a highlight! Also there’s an outdoor firepit with adirondacks you could have a drink at. Espresso machine in lobby, candy, snacks and wine available for purchase at the mini market in lobby. Fitness center is small. Lots of free kids and HBO movie channels. Would stay again!

The room was comfortable and clean. Staff efficient and friendly though I prefer getting a printed receipt on checkout rather than through the reservation agency. Special praise to Marcia who got us in for dinner without a reservation. That said....the restaurant itself is forgettable. The food is meh at best. For the prices, I would expect for example better coleslaw with the fish and chips, and a nice thick stovetop simmered breakfast oatmeal. These are small things that I have seen done well in family-run diners. We ate there out of convenience, would not make it a destination.

We liked the accessibility of this hotel to beach and town for our adventures. We stayed in a pet room and it was fairly clean for having had pets in the room. We liked the decor and it was comfortable. The kids say it’s their new favorite hotel in Newport.

Staff called to tell us that our dogs were barking "non-stop" and we needed to return immediately to quiet them, however, we later discovered it was actually the dogs across the hall. We abruptly left the Aquarium where tickets had cost us $70 only to find our dogs quietly laying in their crates. The dogs across the the hall were extremely loud and continuously woke our 4 month old baby throughout the night. Our 3 year old was very disappointed to have his long anticipated trip to the aquarium cut short!

Hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. We had breakfast at their on-site restaurant. I loved that kid get breakfast free with a paying adult! Plus the view and beach access is great!

Decent size room for family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids. Unfortunately smell of room seemed a bit off. Needed some febreezing.
