Wingate by Wyndham St. Clairsville/Wheeling

My family stayed here and it was perfect for us. Swimming pool, sauna and a wonderful restaurant. The staff was very kind. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I will be staying here again in the future.

Property is renovated and looks new. My kids liked the place but breakfast serving was not pleased.

There was some kind of party going on that we could hear the music enough to pick out what song it was. Unfortunately it lasted until at least 11:45 after which I finally fell asleep to the pulse of the bass. I didn’t call the front desk - which is on me- because I didn’t feel like turning on the light and possibly walking up my child to ask them to make it stop. I mean hotels are generally for sleeping, right? It would have been nice to have enforced quiet hours though.

We stayed in this hotel a few years ago with family and it was really clean then and now this time it was just my husband and I and it was so wonderful! Everything was clean and the beds were amazing! Even the pillows and towels. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will always go back when we are in town down there.

Clean and spacious. Perfect for a family

I usually stay in this facility once or twice a month to visit family. The elevator has been broken for several weeks. the ice maker is also out of order. They very seldom have fresh fruit for their breakfast selection.

Room was comfortable and breakfast was great. Pool was at full capacity on the weekend and didn't allow for our family to use to the pool.

Room had a feces odor at 10am and 5 pm every day, was told this is a regular occurrence and and all they could do was give us a spray to kill the odor, it also happens in the lobby at the same time and no one knows where it is coming from nor how to repair it. 1st day pool was cold, waiting for repairs, next day there was a glob full of oil and hair floating in it. Stair rail to second floor was coming off wall. Tour bus was parked across all 5 handicapped spaces, handicapped restroom in lobby was out of order. Refrigerator in room was tipping off stand. No rails in shower and no non slip floor either, dangerous for a person my age (80). Book table too close to front door so going to get a book meant the door kept opening, told girl to move it to other side of couch as it was cold and wet weather still not moved when we left 4 days later. This is a sad state of affairs and not good for your reputation as I won’t stay there again and won’t recommend it to anyone, which is sad as well as not good for business as we have a large family reunion coming up and are looking for a hotel to recommend to everyone. Staff are very courteous and friendly.
