Holiday Inn Express & Suites Heath - Newark, an IHG Hotel

This was a perfect place to stay while visiting family. It was super clean, food top notch and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Spacious rooms, clean, quiet & plenty of towels! The breakfast was remarkable & always attended to with a great variety. We used to stay at different hotel in this area when visiting friends & family but this place has changed our minds. Can't wait to come visit again!!!

We had so much fun staying here! We had a birthday party for my great-granddaughter. We asked for adjoining rooms and got them. They were very nice. The smaller room with the 2 Queens was fantastic. The bathroom was amazing beautiful! The other room was also very clean and nice. They accomadated us with extra pillows and towels for the kids swimming. The employees were very nice and professional. Best place ever to stay. Wonderful staff!! Very pleased!!

Extremely satisfied with this hotel. Our rom was very clean. The staff was accommodating and friendly. We were in love with the super comfortable bed and actually want to research where to get the pillows !!!! The manager took time to research where they are purchased from. We have family in Newark and will use this hotel again.

I liked how quiet it was and the breakfast was very good. I did not like the salt water pool. My kids got a rash from it.

We checked in around 11pm ready for some adult time. The first room we went to had people already inside. I'm sure we scared the crap out of them as we tried tp enter twice by unlocking the door and would have walked in on whoever was there except for the inside lock was in use so the door only opened a couple of inches. The second room was first floor with the parking lot having a clear view into our room so we tried to lower the blinds. There was not a cord for either blind like we had in our final room, and we tried to manually pull hem down but they would not budge. There was no way to lower them and we are not into exhibitionism. We waited for maintenance to come, but it was already late so I went to the front desk. The lady said she could not come into the room and instead gave me a giant comforter to hang over the window. Unfortunately, there was nothing to hang it on so we called the desk again and asked if we could just have another room. The third time was the charm except we ended up having a fight because we were so frustrated about the experience. We went directly to bed which defeated the purpose of us getting the room so we basically wasted $200 because we could have easily driven home but wanted to enjoy a night away from the kids/house and enjoy each other. The hotel was nice, but the check-in experience ruined the entire purpose of our stay.
