Great hotel to stay in while visiting family!

If you like the smell of pot on every floor, 50 year old furniture, old old carpets, moldy showers, stinky rooms….than this is the hotel for you! We checked out after one night. Slept in my clothes on top of the bed. Wouldn’t subject my family to this. Glad we were able to find a Best Western close to ECU.

We were in town for a family reunion. The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was very nice and clean. I'd definitely stay there again.

I traveled with family. We had 3 rooms. The pool was warm and wonderful. Unfortunately...The carpets made the bottoms of my feet black. The front desk personnel were friendly, as were any staff I met in the hallway, but the kitchen worker was surly & huffy. She closed the breakfast room over a half hour early and most of my family didn't even get to eat. After 9:15 AM there was no available coffee. I checked out after 10:30 and there was still no coffee available. The woman at the front desk repeatedly asked the kitchen woman to make more coffee, but even though we waited to leave until 11:00 there was still no coffee. Several travelers were not happy with that. There were several repairs needed in one of our rooms. It had an odd odor and mold in the bathroom. The woman at the front desk let us change rooms without any problems. There was no soap in the women's bathroom on the main floor. Again, I want to emphasize that all the staff was wonderful-except the one kitchen person.

Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. I called ahead of time letting the staff know if would be after 1 am, possibly even after 2 am for check in. They said that was fine and they would note it down that I would be there just later check in. When I arrive the woman at the front desk was very rude and told me she marked me as a no show. I told her I called, verified the phone number that I called, and she kept speaking over me. I was charged 30 dollars more for incidentals than what the normal fee was. I have close for $500 in pending charges from the hotel when my room was only $148 for the night. ON TOP of all of that, we finally got to our room and the toilet had pee and toilet paper in it and was overflowed. Mind you, we arrived at the hotel around 2:30-3am and wasn’t in a room until 3:30. So we had to switch rooms. We had our two year old with us who had woken up during all of this. We got to the new room and the same woman at the front desk that was rude said she could’ve give us a room key. Said if she was able to get one she would slide it under the door after 7am. 4 am rolls around and she pounds on our door to give us a room key. I was extremely irritated. She woke up my child. She stood in the doorway of our room basically arguing with me about me being frustrated and upset at the whole situation. I had some choice words to say and ended up slamming the door in her face. Worst customer service I’ve ever received. Wouldn’t stay here ever again.
