Comfort Inn & Suites High Point - Archdale

The room above us had a kid that was not raised like our kids was. It was not the kids fault, the parents had know respect for other people, they didn’t care if we had to getup at 5:00 and hit the road. That kid sounded like he was throwing bowling balls on the floor above us. I was expecting to see his leg come through our ceiling. I called down to the front desk shortly before midnight and informed them if this did not stop, I was calling the cops. They did go and talk with the people and the noise finally stopped about 30 minutes later. My wife and I if lucky got about 4 hours sleep.

Mainly picked this place for the indoor pool and the photos made it look nice and we have stayed at many nice Comfort Inns in the past...DISAPPOINTMENT from the start! Smokers right by front door-disgusting. Staff was not very helpful or kind. The WiFi passwords are a mystery that change daily. Walked in on a very sunny 85* April afternoon and the indoor pool is "Closed for the Season" seriously...never in my life have I seen an indoor pool closed for the season! Anyway, immediately put kids in a bad mood and adults as well since we were ready to cool off after a long day at the zoo. So we said ok, they can take baths instead. NOPE! For starters, there is no way on the tub to keep the water in, it continues to drain the whole time. Also, it takes 3-5 minutes to reach the slightest bit of warm water in tub or the sink. The water situation was a bust all around here. The room itself was ok but there was bits of trash spread around the room under the bed, behind the chair and dresser that were from previous guests-so the room was not cleaned to basic standards. There was a breakfast but we did not go down for it since we were in a room right by the elevator and below some very heavy walking people, therefore we heard constant noises all night long. Needless to say, we will not stay here again.

Nice facility, back behind other properties so very quiet. Nice staff, decent breakfast, overall good place. We come to HP area often for family, will stay here again.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a good size. The beds were incredibly comfortable and pillows were firm and plentiful. Everything in the room worked and there were a million channels on the tv. The indoor pool was nice, but the water was very cold. The children enjoyed themselves. Breakfast was served from 6:30 to 9:30 and was well stocked. There were hot and cold options and the waffle maker was a hit with the whole family. The lady working the dining room never let anything run out. Housekeeping made sure we had everything we needed as she made her rounds. We will definitely stay there again!

My family and I were there for a funeral and for only 2 nights. I personally will not stay there again. Obviously, this hotel needs a lot of improvement as the competition is very high out there. The person before me smoke marijuana in the room; it was supposed to be non smoking. Breakfast was good specially the orange juice.
